I am fine with DLC & cosmetics MTX.

It works fine for titles that are Free to PLay, like Warzone, Fortnite etc. There should be no need for it in a game like this. This game is a return to the pre season pass days and it should stay that way. All we need is a roadmap showing what DLC, free and paid, they expect to deliver over the course of a year.

The reality is, more money, more contents & cosmetic is the least intrusive form of monetization, & people who don't care do not have to pay more, people who do, will pay more & happy about it, & developer get constistence income source. WIN/WIN.

Roadmap? That's Live Service talk. J/K

I don't think even the devs know what's in store for the future of this title. They have said it was designed as a complete package with all the content they intended to release. It would be nice if they added some DLC and made some additions to the end-game. But if not, then this will be a title we play for a while and then move on. Which is fine to me.

They don't. They said they were waiting to see how the game does and how the community responds to it.

So, any significant DLC is several months away.

It isn't win win. Time spent doing those cosmetics is time lost on meaningful content. That is why live service games have pittiful meaningful content drops but seeming loads of meaningless pay for cosmetics. Division 2, Battlefield 5, COD, Destiny 2 are all great examples of that.

Add in the fact that their publisher (Square) seems to be in a state of aimlessness and one can see how this game might just be a one & done affair.

They had a single player focused studio make a Live Service game and even with the hired help of industry veterans from the likes of Naughty Dog and others Avengers failed spectacularly. Instead of letting their studio play to their strengths they pushed them way to far outside their comfort zone. So I don't have much confidence in Square greenlighting anything beyond a small content drop, if we get any at all.

Square needs some serious reshuffling of executives to right the ship.

They'll greenlight it if there is money to be made.

Seems they just dropped a 3.5GB (XSS) update. Not seeing anything on twitter about what it does.

That is if you assumed the people doing cosmetic are the same people doing content & the cosmetic are high effort, which they are not in the grand scale of things. They could have hired extra people to do cosmetics & used the extra income to have MORE developers making content.

The reason the above-mentioned games have meaningless contents has more with other stuff.

I never thought I'd say this for any shooter because I just don't have the skills. But I really like sniping in this game. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that the class I'm currently playing can freeze things. Nope, that's not it at all.

Seriously, the Technomancer is my jam.

CT15 reached! :bang::bang::bang:

That 25% Legendary payout is just so good. All that shiny gold falling out from the pod at the end is a thing of beauty.

Did three or four Gold runs on CT15 last night and we got about 6 or 7 legendries from them. One run gave us three each...
Yep crazy good. It was raining gold.

Who knew the not viable Cyclone anomoly build could keep damage pace with a Twisted Rounds build

Finally started playing. Finished campign in a few sittings, was fun. But now I’m level 27, expeditions f*** me majorly since I’m not max level, and going back doing side quests barely gives any xp. Meh. May just level another class.

I only play co-op & my friend I play with (know him since high school) is playing some other games. So the game is pretty much in the freezer fr now.

I wanted to try matchmaking coop but heard many horror stories. If they change expeidition that you will not lose all progress if you die (solo), I may considered solo.

Why, so you can have the exact same problem.

What is your average gear level? If your average gear level is 31 or higher you can do expeditions regardless of only being level 27. I know you can cause I did it with my Trickster.

More so that I can get some enjoyment out of it rather than going back and grinding side quests for 500 exp just to get to the endgame grind.

I’ll take a look at it later and see though.

Just do the expeditions. You'll get like 70 to 80% a level from each completed.

The end game grind is what these games are all about.

Yeah, I know- I'm a looter veteran and the endgame grind is why I installed the game, haha. Couldn't make it past like one wave though of either expedition I tried. Maybe I should just team up for a few of them, if they level you super quickly.
