Played it. Runs good for me on PC @ ~ 140FPS maxed out. Reminds me of Gears alot. The cutscenes are capped at 30fps for whatever reason though.
My gameplay run:

I see you chose the Trickster. I haven't tried the other classes, but the Trickster has some awesome powers. I like the teleportation to enemy AI and slow down time power, then melee or blow them away with my shot gun. It's like being the Flash.

I played a little. I thought the game will test my new rig, but so fat not much, & the visual is passable but feel last gen.

The cover system is clunky on the mouse/keyboard. I played Gear 5 with Mouse/keyboard & it is smooth as butter, I am shocked they did not just copy/pasta Gears controls. Some YouTubers commented on the gameplay better with controller, maybe I will test it when I get a new controller.

Many commented that the levels are flat & boring, which was one of my concerns before when I saw the gameplay.

Been giving it another try today, went with the Pyromancer. The 4th skill has to be the most underwhelming skill I have ever used.....it is like throwing a sparkler at an Aircraft Carrier.

Snipers need an FPS scope too.

The Pyromancer is the must underwhelming I think. I can't even remember what the 4th skill is. My two absolute favourites are the Trickster and the Technmancer (those Blight rounds just shred enemies)

Are you talking about Overheat? I tried it and immediately switched back to Thermal Bomb skill. Overheat is like using a tazer.

Overheat is probably meant as a combo ability. Though I haven’t gone deep on the pyromancer yet.

I am playing as Devastator atm. Not liking it as much as Pyro and Tricks. After this class, I am going to try the Technomancer. Overall, I am enjoying the game. Still haven't tried coop.

it really shines in coop.

You can farm the Captain on the mission Tera Firma for Legendary weapons.

Playing as we speak, Eva Lopez (Vendor), always looks like she wants to f**k your brains out when you're buying or selling stuff. Reminds me of an ex-date of mine who was a bartender.

yea she does. And it’s gonna happen.... oh yes. It is gonna happen.
if you know what i mean eyebrow wiggle GIF

I got the demo a couple days ago, have been using a Trickster so far. It's enjoyable but pretty janky at the same time.

Tried the demo a couple days ago. Only played up until you choose your class and it was ok but honestly turned it off at that point. I was a bit tired that night so probably just wasn't feeling it. Hope to give it a try again now that I have a class to use.

Tried the Devastater today, this dude will be beastly. The Bullet Reflect while fighting mod is great, and the shield staggers on contact. Leap slam is insane with the 100% heal of damage dealt or 200% on kill mod. Then Golem skill duration increase per kill mod is great for solo play.

Give him a shotgun and lett the devastation begin.

yeah I really liked him. I don’t have his gear optimised though like the ones your using. I’ll need to go farm bear for him.

Give it another shot. I actually did the exact same thing except I stopped at that part cuz the game crashed but I was pretty eh.

Came back to it next day and loved it.

Just watched Digital Foundry's head to head video. The main takeaway from them is that the game maintains a higher resolution on the XSX with framerate dips while the PS5 maintains a steadier 60fps with a slightly lower resolution. I'm going to try out the demo tonight on PS5 and see if I can notice any differences.

I've played with the Pyromancer and Devastator and to my surprise find the Devastator to be more fun. Its just a more survivable class with a lot of cool abilities. I don't know how much better the Pyromancer gets with armor/mods and weaponry so there's that to consider. I'll check out the Trickster and Technomancer tonight on PS5 and see if that changes my mind on which class I prefer the most.

Fun demo and I really like the low cooldown of abilities. Gunplay is still very much a part of combat. But unlike say Destiny or The Division, Outriders seems to encourage a lot of use of abilities which I like.

the pyromancer is the weakest class by far I think. It’s still fun to play but in the demo the other classes are far superior.

Devastaor is broken. I would be shocked if the Reflect Bullets skill isn't massively nerfed in the full game.

I haven't tried the other 2 classes yet but I had a lot more fun with the Devastator. I've read good things about the Trickster and Technomancer. The deployable turret and time ability from those respective classes seem to be really good at destroying mobs.

I hope you're wrong about this but I guess the devs might do it for balancing's sake. I just hope they don't make it useless because the Devastator is supposed to be hard to kill and is a lot of fun to play with because of that ability.

Its no surprise that players already found a loot exploit, soon to be patched. I'm ok with players making their own fun. If they want to spend their time running from one chest to another and then reloading to get what they're after that's ok. But I have no problems with the devs patching it out and making it so you need to engage more fully with the game to get the best loot.

What’s getting patched? The captain farm?

I think the Captain farm is safe since you have a low chance and have to kill stuff to get it. Its the other one where people were reloading the same area to open chests without killing anything for a chance at a legendary, they are removing any chance of getting said legendary stuff from chests for the demo. And they are also removing a vendor exploit that I'm not familiar with. I haven't played enough to farm anything, with the limited time I've had with the demo I was too busy checking things out. But gamers always find ways to glitch/break things.
