So People Can Fly are going to be doing big story focused DLC it seems. Such a shame. Endgame should be the focus.

Hopefully any DLC will include some new Expeditions maps and mods/gear. That would do me. It did seem in the game that there parts of the story that were left unfinished.

Thanks for the info! The thing with this game there's so many different and viable build options to use, I did my character up a bit and I use the teleport skill and borrowed time, borrowed time gives me 100% armor as well as half shield when I use it with rapid cool down, I went from getting melted in tier 13 to been able to just stand in front of enemies constantly replenishing shields while teleporting around using twisted ammo.

I love experimenting with mods and gear, I had a hard time moving away from my damage skills as they put out a lot of damage with all my anamoly upgrades but I'm having more luck with twisted bullets and constantly teleporting while replenishing my shield and with upgrades that at least double my damage at short range.
Play what works for you & your style of play. There are more than a few viable setups.

So special bullets being nerfed.
Hunt, Wanted and Historian will no longer reward legendary on completion.

Why would they nerf special bullets? They're a great ability for Pyromancers and the cooldown is forever on them already.
Because they are OP as hell.

Pyro only got 1 nerf to trial of Ashes which halfed extra damage from 30 to 15%.

With no PVP I don't see this as a problem, but I guess I haven't played it enough to have a very strong opinion on it.
A big problem is it is still a coop game, and there is growing trend of kicking those not running a special bullet build. Plus it kind of ruins build diversity wheh one build is far ahead of any other.

Awwww man, nerfs incoming before I could really take advantage. I just started doing hunts & wanted missions. Those were really helpful as I approach lvl20. Ohh well, the Devastator I'm using is really starting to feel powerful. I haven't had to lower the world tier in a few days which is progress for me.

I was wondering about something, and anyone familiar with the Technomancer feel free to chime in. I was thinking since that's the gadget class it could play the game using cover more. As a Devastator I rarely (if ever) use cover in the traditional way. But as a gadget class I was thinking it's the perfect class to use cover while picking enemies off with the gadgets doing their thing. But I've noticed this game has certain types of enemies that rush forward as melee attackers so maybe the Technomancer might struggle with that.

I think its a great thing to already be this interested in the other classes well before I've reached the end game with my first class. I also like how soloable this game is once you start getting more equipment. I don't have to worry about rushing to online co-op and can play at my leisure. There are a lot of great design choices with this game. Although, I do wish there weren't so many loading screens.

the bullet refresh time isn’t so bad for my build as I rarely run out of ammo. The damage reduction will be more significant but I think overall we can cope with 15% less damage.

I didn’t read it that the Bounty missions no longer pay out on Legendary. Maybe I missed something.

The time base reward is one reason for it. I hope they remove it or make one-timer, & the time be a reasonable one.

I do not know about technomancer, but on the trickster, its 30% damage nerf (15% +15%) not factoring downtime due to longer cooldown of twister rounds. Its pretty significant.

It just seems too early to do this balancing pass. The game came out recently and I'm willing to bet there are many gamers who are not at the end-game yet. It feels like the devs are balancing the game based off the top small percentage of gamers who played the game a lot. I wonder if its because of the streamers who play all day have caused this knee jerk reaction.

Yeah, the Trickster nerf was over the top in my opinion also. Turns out the Technomancer nerf was bit heavy as well, even though it did not sound like it. My damage output dropped significantly on the Toxic build. I went from about 25 million damage (total damage per Expedition) to about 15 million damage. Plus I was going down way more. I actually scrapped my Toxic build entirely because it was no longer powerful enough for the high Tier Expeditions (10 onward).

But as they say, when one door closes another opens......

I got a helpful tip from menace-uk- on some weapon loadouts that led me to a Freeze build that made the Toxic build look like amateur mode. I can now output between 25 million to 40 million damage and even solo Tier 9 Expeditions for Gold!!

So now I'm twice as powerful as I was before the nerf!:laugh:

They balanced based on it being unbalanced. s***, they nerfed the Devestator based on the demo. Once I saw those special bullet builds it was obvious a nerf was coming.

Experimentation is a vital part of creating a build.

I guess, it just seems too early and that its based off a small percentage of players who lead the charge with special ammo and the many who followed. And they didn't just nerf the Devo, the nerfed shotguns (auto shotguns) based off the captain farming with the demo. The ammo reserves are a joke with just 3 or 4 reloads and I'm out of ammo. This will probably happen again once the new meta is established. Gearbox is known for nerfs with Borderlands 3 but they also buff underperforming loot to keep as many options available to the wider audience. I just hope PCF does something similar instead of reacting to streamers.

i'm tier 11, and so far all the times seem reasonable. If I don't hit gold solo it is usually only a few seconds over.

Is it clunky/ confusing to use 2 button combination for a skill?
i use mouse/keyboard and I can map every skill to a key.
the issue with mouse/keyboard is reaching certain key can be unnatural, like using thumb to hit „b“( which is my „get to cover„ key, and you need to nail muscle memory for each game.

Doing it early is better than leaving it for months. Get it balanced ASAP. It doesn't matter if streamers are the ones or the entire communityis running something, unbalanced is unbalanced.

I still think they should have taken more time and got more data. Its reactionary to the few without regard for the many. As a Devo I don't even have access to special ammo but the nerf to rewards for certain activities hurts me and others because of the small percentage of gamers who can play the game for 12hrs straight everyday. Get the core connectivity/stability sorted out, make sure cross-play works first and get more loot data in the meantime and then adjust accordingly. Don't just react to the top players and leave the casuals like me out in the cold. Ok, being a bit dramatic but its for effect.

The nerf to hunts and bounties rewards is dumb as f***. Totally agree on that one. That was done cause of cheaters, though.

keep that in mind when they nerf our current build, which they have to considering it’s twice as powerful as the special rounds builds.

Cheaters need a Gravity Leap to the face.

Wait, I did see a video that I thought was more of an exploit but one I was definitely going to use once I hit lvl30. It involves doing the first 9 hunts/bounties on the lowest world tier. And then completing the last hunt/bounty on the highest world tier, then turn in all hunts/bounties to get max loot level rewards. It seemed like a good way to save some time and effort.

It seems the Hunter, Wanted, Historian missions aren't nerfed. I just completed the Wanted missions and it is as it was. Think they f***ed up communicating what they did...which was fixing the exploit.

I think some of the anger can be understandable, The game is very crushy & buggy (at least on PC). I regularly cannot shoot, use my abilities in a fight. The HUD loss is still common (at least on PC), The HUD loss also mean cannot make any interections.

I got it that the balancing team is not the same team as the fixing team, but the optic is not good when the game has so many technical issues & they announced nerf. At least buff some less-used abilities, class tree nodes, before nerf.
