  • Panasonic's powerful HCX processor (Hollywood Cinema Experience) delivers precise chroma and HDR processing for beyond-dazzling color and detail in all your 4K/HDR content.
  • Command a variety of operations without your remote with Alexa and Google Assistant, plus access a wider variety of 4K content with 4K VOD streaming from NETFLIX and YouTube.

I got it from bestbuy for $499.
Great player with excellent pq enhancements.
Not many apps but more are being added.
Netflix looks great in Dolby Vision and YouTube can play videos in 4K/60/HDR and some with surround sound.
You can even add 10 bit color to regular br's.

Edit:
They are hard to come by so one might have problems getting one.

I bought the Panasonic 820 last week, it's fantastic. The HDR optimizer feature is great for standard HDR, and the Dolby Vision & HDR10+ support for discs is something I've wanted for the last 2 years but held out assuming the consoles would release "real" UHD players with the new consoles. Oops. I wasn't expecting what an improvement it would also make to SDR Blurays though, it's making my collection a joy to watch through. The menus are a breeze to navigate, really impressed by how many settings there are to adjust to your personal setup.

Now that Oppo is done with UHD players, this and the UB9000 are the best options on the market. I regret not buying one a year ago rather than stupidly waiting for the next gen consoles. They're expensive, but well worth it if you still value the PQ and audio benefits of physical media.

Yes it's a great player even better than the Oppo for my usage.
It adds extra color depth to older content.

I'm still so happy with this purchase. Such a great Blu-Ray / UHD player. Easy to use, tons of options, fantastic picture, very much worth the money for physical media people.

On sale again

I'm semi tempted to buy another sometime to keep in storage in case my original dies. I'm worried these may end up going the route of Oppo and skyrocketing to insane prices if they're discontinued.
