NVIDIA Pascal GPU X80, X80Ti, and X80 Titan release date: specs allegedly leaked, new GPUs to be released in June 2016?

Earlier this year, it was reported that NVIDIA's new GPUs will be released sometime this year and that the tech company will most likely use the GeForce 1000 series branding since previously released GPUs were branded as GeForce 900. But recently, a new report claims that the names and specs of the latest NVIDIA Pascal GPUs have been leaked.

According to Techfrag, the GPUs have been named as the X series, and the newest offerings include the GeForce X80, X80Ti, and X80 Titan.

According to a document released by the website, the GeForce X80 Titan will be the most powerful card in the lineup as it features 6144 CUDA cores, 384 texture mapping units, 192 render output units, and a 1025 MHz base clock for a total of 12.595 teraflops. It has a memory size of 16GB and a pixel fill rate of 196.8 pixels per second.

The second most powerful card will be the GeForce X80Ti which has 5120 Shader Cores, 320 texture mapping units, and 160 render output units. The GPU is said to be clocked at 1025 MHz base for a total of 10.496 teraflops. It has a memory of 8GB and a pixel fill rate of 164 pixels per second.

The next GPU is the GeForce X80 which is said to be based on the most powerful GP104 configuration with 4096 CUDA cores, 256 texture mapping units, 128 render outputs, as well as a base clock of 1000 MHz for a total of 8.192 teraflops. It has a memory of 6GB and pixel fill rate of 128 pixels per second.

Two more GPUs are said to be included in the lineup—the GTX Titan X and GTX 980Ti. Both share almost the same specs, but the Titan X has 3072 CUDA cores while the GTX 980Ti only has 2816. The Titan X also has a larger memory at 12GB compared to the 980Ti's 6GB. The Titan X is clocked at 1000 MHz base with a total of 6.144 teraflops, while the 980Ti has a total of 5.632 teraflops.

NVIDIA has yet to confirm if the leaked specs are the actual specs of their upcoming GPUs. It is expected that more information will be released by the company at the GPU Technology Conference which will take place from April 4 to 7 in Silicon Valley.

WCCF Tech reports that a June 2016 release date for the GPUs have been suggested, as NVIDIA and AMD will reportedly be aiming for the back to school season for the wide availability of their next generation GPUs in upcoming notebooks.

I am highly aroused

Over double the performance is very believable and will make some cry.
I believe because it was initially said to be 10x the performance.

I can believe 1.5x to 2x the performance of their current flagship cards. Kepler to maxwell showed Nvidia is capable. What is hard to believe is the June launch. Unless June is a paper launch and the actual launch is later.

I just hope it's soon.

If AMD drops first, I just might have to part ways with Nvidia.
