Patch 1.2.0 Released

A couple weeks ago while raiding with some cool dudes they told me about how people were saving exotic engrams to be decoded when The Dark Below dlc released so they would have a chance at getting the new stuff as early as possible. So, naturally I’ve been saving all my exotic engrams that I purchased over the last few weeks from Xur. Those guys did mention that they heard Bungie got wind of this tactic and locked those engrams to only give pre-House of Wolves gear. If that’s the case its cool but I’m going to try anyway.
 
Don't know if this is old news or not, but currently you can loot the "wolves" chests twice. You simply loot the chest, quickly go to an adjacent area, then come back and you can loot it a 2nd time as long as you do it before the key timer expires.

I found that out yesterday. I think that the best places to farm these events is on Earth/Skywatch and Venus/Citadel. But I have yet to receive a key only a bunch of rare engrams.

I really like the new public events though. Sure, they play out like the others but its been a lot of fun ganging up on main baddie when he shows up. I took a step back to watch the chaos from afar and it was awesome seeing all the weapons and abilities light up the area.

Ohhh, dusted off my 4th Horseman and love how it destroys these Fallen enemies.

I didn't prepare for the Dark Below, but I am well prepared for the HoW. Ive got 54 packages, across 3 characters, at the Postmaster, 3 legendary engrams, 2 treasure keys, 25,000 glimmer, Crucible & Vanguard marks maxed out on all 3 characters, and well over 200 mats of each type. I also have over 100 commendations to burn through. Today will be like Christmas when HoW goes live.:banana:

After you kill the boss in a "Pack of Wolves" event you get an Ether Key for 1:30 seconds. During that time a Fallen chest spawns in the section of the planet you are on. This chest requires an Ether Key to open.
