The real news:

Overkill Software and 505 Games have announced Payday 2: Crimewave Edition for Xbox One and PS4. It bundles the core game with "enhanced features and a stash of new bonus content, giving fans the ultimate PAYDAY experience”.

Released on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 last year, Payday 2 is a co-op heist shooter in which players team up to rob banks, jewellery stores and the like. It’s a brilliant concept, one that didn’t escape the attention of DICE, who seem to have filtered a couple of the ideas into Battlefield: Hardline.

The latest in a long line of games to make an enhanced jump to next-gen, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition does not currently have a price or a release date.

Honestly, this game was a let down. There wasn't a great deal of content and the heists weren't as interesting or as complex as the ones in Payday 1. The promised safe house customisation is still no where to be seen and the 360/PS3 versions of the game are pretty much abandoned which doesn't inspire confidence for the Xb1 and PS4 versions.

I bought PD2 when it was released on 360. Traded it back in right after. Graphics and gun play were horrible. It had some great ideas.
