Edit: done a couple chapters and this game is awesome! Great soundtrack, looks fantastic and the dialogue is great too, some laugh out loud moments which is pretty rare in video games. One thing that annoys me is the characters ambient dialogue constantly cutting out when you move further away.
Unfortunately I doubt we'll see a sequel as (surprise) it didn't meet squares sales expectations, but I'm happy to see Eidos Montreal is still in great form and can't wait to see what they're cooking up next.

This has been great for my gamer group. We're able to try games and not have to worry about spending a huge chunk of cash. Halo Infinite and Sea of Thieves is definitely the most we've played off of Game Pass. I just finished and loved Battletoads not too long ago, and we're getting into Deep Rock Galactic currently.
Awesome? Wow, I absolutely hated it. The UI is awful, the cut scenes are non stop, its basically on rails, combat is a joke and those stupid toast pop ups (which cannot be switched off) are irritating beyond belief.
Best summary of it ever came from my son (11 years old and HUGE marvel fan) when I asked him why he stopped playing it:
“I thought it was meant to be a game”

What? It's a story driven game of course there's going to be plenty of cutscenes and dialogue, it's linear yes but heaps of hidden paths, combat is a little repetitive but much better once you start boosting around combining elemental attack combos and ordering special attacks, the blasters suck.
It just sounds like you're wanting the game to be something it isn't, it makes no secrets about the type of game it is and does it well.

Haha well screw you guys and my mate that thinks it sucks too!
Yup same, been playing a bit of Stellaris in preparation for CK3.
The controls are not clunky they just take a bit to get used to. It's actually quite intuitive. I can't get over how awful it looks on XSX.
But the Halo series is essentially NCIS or some other CBS show, no thanks.
Oh...I had no idea where this location is or anything and not sure if everyone was going to be hitting walls 50 times, etc.
