Rekt today! lol

Lol just when I brought in too.

Think I'll stay away from stocks for a while, trying to save for a house and this is doing me no favors, the only good stocks I have are PBF energy and aphria before it dived, I'm having much more success in passive ETFs just doing small fortnightly deposits, this just stresses me out haha.

It will be back, at least its not overvalued like Tesla which may be get it driven down into the sub 200 range.

I swear the hedges are attacking anything popular on wsb. Even good apple news hasn't helped it.

Yeah. I'm not concerned. I'm considering doubling up though!

I've always been interested in investing in stocks but have been afraid to ever since the big tech bubble burst 20 years ago. And when the market tanked last year, I had an itch to buy my favorite stocks, but still was too fearful. Cap on me.

And now with the latest tech dump that's happening, I'm getting that itch again.

Here's an interesting look:

Whoa, awesome! Didn't know there's a stocks thread.

Tech and spac stocks sell off recently. Not going into any spacs for a while after being burnt by UWMC...

Much needed correction for the Nasdaq though. Going to be a volatile month with quad witching day on 3/19. Also, we are seeing a green 9er on the monthly chart for S&P500, most likely see a potential red candle for March 1-er.

This is an IPO to watch.

Getting in early on this could be a nice earning.

Roblox launched today. Last price target I saw was $35 and it launched publicly at $70.

It was originally expected to come out at ~29$, that may have been a good buy.

yeah I saw that. I was hoping for it to open for under 40. Not sure about buying on at 70.

If the people that would usually buy into that stock weren't putting their life savings into Gamestop it might have a run in it, right now I'm not so sure in the current market it does.

Sold Apple for $127. Bought it at $121. Had sell price at $128 and decided to let it go for $127. 4.96% profit. Want it to tumble again soon so I can do it all over again. Hopefully it doesn't go above $130. Originally I was gonna put my sell at $135.

Side note, I completely forgot about an IRA I had at my old company. I transferred it to Schwab. It's not much. It's $50k. But having it at Schwab will allow me to trade individual stocks rather than being forced into mutual fund. Short-term gains are also of no consequence which is nice. I'll probably be pretty aggressive with that account. When I pick a stock I'll probably invest the whole $50k in one shot.

Oh it's not much, only more than a down payment for a house haha

Give it to me since you clearly don't care about it please and thanks! Completely pay off my student loan lol

They always say, invest in what you believe in, and Daddy Plainview, I know you believe in me :)

In terms of a "Retirement fund" it's not much.

Decided to lower sell of Apple to $126. Bought at $121. It was teetering all around $125, so I lowered it to $125.5. Sold from both accounts. 3.72% return on both. Ok, now drop quickly to $121 again!

Got a bunch of AMC when it was under $10

My coins are doing pretty well also. Especially ETC. Got on that train at $11.06 and now it's flirting with 17.

I must say, getting the average cost down on a stock you foolishly bought at a high feels pretty damn good.

Made the rookie mistake of buying high, but avoided the rookie mistake of bailing. Stock is less than 50% of its high, $4.26, which has helped me whittle down the average price to the point that a 40¢ bump will break even for me.

For a risky stock buy, don’t go heavy on it. Have enough to easily bring cost down if it drops 50% by doubling up, or tripling up, and bring price per share down. I’m refusing to do that on BBY and NOK. Lol. I bought what I was willing to lose 100% of though, that’s why.

So Bitcoin and Dogecoin are mooning right now. I don't have anything in Doge, but I got in and have been DCA'ing since 44k. Sitting at 64k and seems to be continuing to rise.

Realllly wish I wasn't broke from moving expenses at this time last year or I would have put all my stimmies into Bitcoin and I'd be debt free right now lol

Plainview you gonna get in on this Coinbase IPO today? I thought about it, but just don't have the funds right now to drop. Might buy some fractions of shares down the road.

More institutions are getting into bitcoin/crypto so long term coinbase looks good. Right now though lol. There must have be a lot of early investors at least partially cashing out.

for real. I went into the Coinbase subreddit and all the posts are complaining about how they adopted too early. Wish it had just opened at $250 like originally projected.

Until recently i've seen ipo's go a couple days to a week before a significant dip. This went straight off the table, the chart is nuts. When its over maybe a good place to enter.
