The spaces between realities!
If you have a fear of flying (like I do) this video is not for you....

The recent plane crash near Kazan, Russian was caught on camera by airport security.

KAZAN, Russia (AP) — The grainy airport video is dark, short and chilling. Within five seconds, a dot of light that Russian authorities say is a Boeing 737 appears in the sky over the tarmac and plunges to the ground in a near-vertical crash. The result is a blinding fireball.

The video shown Monday by Russian television stations — — of Sunday night's horrifying crash at Kazan airport that killed all 50 people onboard raises a host of questions, including why the plane's second attempt to land at night in good weather went so horribly wrong.

Russian investigators combed through the incinerated wreckage Monday after fire crews spent hours extinguishing the blaze. Experts from the NTSB, Boeing and the FAA were heading to the scene to help.

The Boeing 737 belonging to Tatarstan Airlines was making its second attempt at a landing in Kazan, 720 kilometers (520 miles) east of Moscow, according to Alexander Poltinin, head of the local branch of Russia's Investigative Committee.

The traffic controller at the Kazan airport who contacted the plane before the crash said the crew told him they weren't ready to land as it was approaching but didn't specify the problem.

Marat Zaripov, deputy head of the local branch of the Investigative Committee, initially told reporters that his team would look into all theories, including a terrorist attack. But the Investigative Committee said in a statement later Monday that it was now considering three possible causes: a technical fault, a pilot error or adverse weather conditions.

Poltinin said it could take weeks to identify the remains.

Yahoo article...

Don't even want to think of the terror those passengers were going through when the plane went down like that....f*** THAT..
How does that even happen??
If it was a stall wouldn't the pilots have known something before the nosedive??

Hate watching videos like this knowing everyone in it is about to die.

But my curiosity just doesn't let me not watch it.

At least all the passengers get their wanted levels reset to zero stars.

Here's why I'm not afraid to fly:

If the plane I'm in crashes I'm almost assuredly going to die. Sure, there will be that few seconds/minute where my life "flashes before my eyes" but then it's over.

I'm far more afraid of dying in a car accident (which is more likely) or being shot to death (still more likely).

Just think being on that plane knowing your going to die and all you hear is screaming and people yelling i'm going to die. What a fked up way to go.

Yeah this is what I'm wondering. How is this even possible.

Apparently now they are saying from the FDR that the pilot of the plane originally did a go around for the original approach. After the go around he put the plane into a steep climb and the plane stalled as a result. In order to gain altitude again after the stall he put the plane into a dive that he failed to recover from.
Hence the vertical impact.
Pilot error 101.

Well that makes me feel a little bit safer the next time I fly though. Knowing it was just a stupid pilot and it was in a different country.

Still, terrible.

Until the day comes........... when someone finally invents Flying Cars.

Get shot at and watch your good friend get hit in the head, twice (he survived miraculously, but with major health, mobility and mental issues obviously), it'll change your perspective on the whole thing, trust me.

I'll be the first in line...

...to wish I could afford one.

So, plummeting towards the earth surrounded by screaming people isn't a f*cked up way to go? But getting shot is? Is that what you're saying?

Or are you saying after having been shot at and seen your friend hit in the head twice, plummeting towards the earth surrounded by screaming people is no longer a f*cked up way to go?

Sure, it's a f***ed up way to go, when compared to say... being 110 surrounded by family and friends, getting to say goodbye to all of them then peacefully slipping into nothingness.

But after the aforementioned experience the thought of dying in a plane crash isn't all that terrifying.

Oh right I get you now. Was somewhat confused.
