We don't know exact but we do know PlayStation gamers buy a lot more games. That's a big factor. The companies have the numbers so they can decide for themselves which is better.

I imagine anyone would take a 50% revenue increase. If it was as simple as what you're saying there wouldn't have been any moneyhatting from Sony - they simply wouldn't have ported it at all; no deal required.

It's a business, not a charity. They need to make a profit to keep the games coming while balancing consumer happiness.

If it's so important, please tell MS to make all Bethesda and Activision games multiplatform. They can make more money that way 😉

The companies chose to do the deal over porting to Xbox for those revenue. They did the math already before making that decision. No guessing required.

And back to the original point, it's still paying out money to keep games off another console that historically had been multiplat before.

I don't need to ask them. Xbox gamers want to play Japanese games. Xbox gamers are the same as PS gamers. There is no difference. Statistics show that Xbox gamers buy Japanese games, and bring them to the top of the charts. But when Sony money hats, then developers don't make an Xbox version. Ask Sony to stop money hatting. 🤷‍♂️

Yup, because Sony is dumping hundreds of millions into their pockets to keep it off the competing console. Which was multiplatform, and now Sony is paying to keep it off of other platforms.

As long as Sony continues to pay to keep games off of Xbox, Xbox will and should continue to keep games off of PlayStation. Now that MS can keep the biggest games off of PlayStation, maybe Sony will learn?

1-2 year timed exclusivity is nothing new. It's a deal both companies agreed upon and it's already multiplat. It's released on PC. Maybe SE just doesn't want to port it until later? Busy with other things .

Sony paying it for their platform and then the company is free to port it whenever they want. FF7 exclusivity already ended this year.

Essentially any acquisition going forward is going to be a long drawn out complaints process. Be it a studio or a publisher or Sony or Microsoft doing the buying.
