Mine does hat from time to time but only when I turn it on. I think it’s just spoiling the drive, maybe checking to see if there’s a disc inside? It don’t recall it ever doing it when I had it on standby. It doesn’t do anything if I leave a disc inside though, with the goty for my niece “my friend peppa pig”

I'd buy it if it played HD DVDs too. My collection of 60+ HD DVDs feels neglected since my player broke.

Mine only does it with Xbox One/SX games for some reason. It sounds fine if it's installing from the disc. It just vibrates when it does the disc check thing and I hate it.

Does this mean we can authenticate a physical disc on the SeriesX and play without the disc too?
