Playground Games' open world RPG, what are your hopes for it?

If it is fable I hope they take the existing formula and refine it, let us keep the choices we had before as far as magic, melee etc and keep the humor and overall visual style but also really blow out the graphics, open the world up more like the Witcher 3 is, add mounts or even keep the dog as a familiar and let you transform it into a mount like a direwolf for ground travel or some kind of dragon or griffin for flight.

I definitely think they need a whole new art style. They can still have a stylized fairy tale aesthetic and make the game look more realistic.

I'll scour the net to see if I can find any art that fits what's in my mind.

The old art style sucks imo.

Well as long as you don’t have any big expectations...

Mounts would be great for sure and I would like to be able to have a pet again as well. One thing I will say that speaks to my hopes for tone, is that while it's always been pretty light-hearted and fantastical, if there are swords & battle axes in the game, I better be able to chop off heads....

If it's Fable, please don't take away my ability to pass gas on the face of some helpless person. If it doesn't have it, don't even call yourself a Fable game.

My hope is that this new open world RPG is a new IP where the devs can make their dream game.

What if Fable is their dream game? Or what if it has nothing to do with past Fable games and they are just slapping the Fable name on it?

If Fable is their Dream game then I would say that the devs lack imagination.
Now if the game is just slapping the Fable name on it but the game is really just the devs vision for an open world rpg and turns out to be a great game that would be fine imo.

One of my favorite things to do in the first game was to get the weaponsmith in bowerstone to follow me to the other end of town, give him a bunch of beers I'd bought from the pub to get him piss drunk, then run back up to his shop and nick everything, bring it all to the next town over & sell it all for a tidy profit. I'd hate to see them not advance on that level of depth of interaction.
