Playstation 6 - Mark Cerny IS BACK As PS6 Dev Starts According to the latest rumours, Mark Cerny is BACK as lead as Playstation 6 development has BEGUN. This comes from a recent leak, but we examine what our sources have to say about the PS6 development, Mark Cerny, and any other info we have on the Playstation 6 next gen console. But the real question is, would Sony already be working on the hardware and architecture for the PS6 console? We also examine Mark Cerny's past accomplishments at Sony, and their development cycle for the PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 to discover if it makes sense for the PS6 development cycle to be under way. But if it is, just what kind of improvements can we expect to not only gaming performance, but key technologies such as ray tracing?
Rumour that PS6 might launch in 2027

I would get a pro as well, as long as there is a trade-in. If it's not a good value trade-in, I will hold off.In for the Pro if true. Hope there is a trade in promo at Gamestop.
What would honestly be the point of a PS5 Pro that would be worth developing for the masses, to the niche here yea 120fps and NATIVE 4K and all that but the difference between now and back when the PS4 Pro and One X came out is that the original consoles came out in a time when 4K TVs weren't widespread, when they were widespread, they developed the Pro consoles to meet that 4K demand. The PS5 and Series X have 4K support. What could Sony put on the box that differentiates the standard PS5 from the Pro that appeals to the masses?
I highly doubt we see a pro console anytime soon or at all this gen. What is more likely is the detachable disc drive PS5.
The Pro and One X have native 4K support too.
The XSS doesn't even have many 4k native games and that's selling better than the XSX.
I suspect there will still be a market for those who want the best and newest shiny tech just like
there is a market for annual iPhone and Android phone upgrades.
They could show off Wolverine , KOTOR remake at native 4k/60 fps with all the bells and whistles on and there will already be interested consumers I am guessing.
Yes I know that the One X and Pro have native 4K support, I own them both. I'm saying that those had a box to check off vs the One and PS4. I'm not saying there won't be a market for a Pro console, the niche will want one, like us here on this site, but for the masses I just dont see them seeing well as the PS5 and Xbox Series X already support 4K, 120fps, etc, etc. What mainstream box will a Pro console check that's the average person will say "I need that"
You can use PS Remote Play on iOS. I do that on occasion. Not to actually play, but to go in and do things on my PS5 when I am at work. Download stuff, etc. I would never play on my phone because controlling games on a touch screen sucks. Can’t you already stream games to pc or a tablet/mobile device.
Soon you’ll get gamers and devs saying it’s holding them back.
