Could the relabel the ps5 as a ps6s/lite?
Since the ps6p will be just a hint more powerful but more efficient, with pssr 3 or 4, than a series s but still underpowered when compared to a base ps5. We could see this next generation of PlayStation games releasing on ps6p, ps5, ps5p and ps6 for the next decade, unless they decide to kill the ps5p and just sell the ps6 at roughly the same price point, since the pro would kinda butcher the sells of the ps6

That would just confuse the consumer more . Stick with simple. PS6 Portable and PS6.
If the portable plays PS6 games, that will dramatically hold back the PS6 console. That is what I am saying.
Why would it? Apple does it all the time. Even Nintendo has, Sony does with the pro
But it would sell, it (the ps5) could be the new entry level ps6 at 600 or 700 usd. It could even have a new body and chassis. It’s like when a food product says it’s “all new” but the “all new” is referring to the packaging. It’s marketing, just an example, Toyota has been selling the Camry as “new”, they changed the key visual outside and those that sit before you like the dash, but if you put it next to a previous “generation” you see the it’s the same silhouette, mounting points, cup holders, seats, are the same, it’s just easier to do surface level changes and keep what works underneath and no one, besides those who know (usually enthusiasts) will give a care… it just works for those who need it and works for those who want it
That's deceptive and should not be condoned. A Ps6 should be completely new hardware that is not last gen.
Especially when there is a 7-9 years gap between the two hardware.
Doesn't make it right . You just don't change name of last gen hardware into a new product.
Xbox has already marked up theirs, Sony had stated they had an allocated allotment of ps5/p hence the reassigning behind the price hikes, again. Nintendo could raise the prices and fans and the casuals wouldn’t even bat an eye
