PlayStation Blog announces exclusive Metal Gear exclusive Metal Gear Solid V DLC, the Déjà Vu Mission.

Metal Gear Solid and PlayStation are two brands that have been bound for greatness since the beginning. And isn’t it fitting that, in the wake of the eighth Metal Gear game to grace PlayStation, we’ve decided to go back to the start, in a big, big way.

We’re proud to announce that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be coming to PS3 and PS4 with the exclusive Déjà Vu throwback mission! By setting up shots from scenes based on the events of the past, you’ll be recreating the events of Shadow Moses as you take control of Naked Snake as he tackles Camp Omega in totally new, yet oddly familiar conditions. From Genome Soldiers to Hind D helicopters and FOXDIE, you’ll be seeing old faces and new twists that will have you shouting TIME PARADOX by the end.

I generally don't like it when they give platform-exclusivity, especially if it's making one version less worth it.
By giving one platform more content, no matter if it's Xbox or Playstation getting the content.

Giantbomb had a interesting interview with Adam Boyes, where he explained how they selected wich games they (Sony) pushed harder - in return for exclusive extra content.

i.e. in a racing game, where it were just a extra track or two, it's not something they'd bother with usually.

But if publisher/developers could explain it why it made sense as a gamer, that PS get exclusive stuff, they might be happy to make a deal.

I assume more Playstation-gamer would apreciate the memory of playing updated version of early MGS-mission. While most xbox-gamers wouldn't be affected to bad, if they had it and not played earlier games on Playstation, they'd probably wonder what's up with the level-design here. :-/

- Aveline content in Assasins Creed 4: Black Flag, comes to mind aswell.
Xbox gamers wouldn't care about that, not having played AC: Liberation on Vita, before Blag Flag launched - while Playstation gamers might enjoy seeing more of Aveline. :)

Hopefully, we'll see more of that kind of exclusive content deals, rather than where platform-agnostic stuff like: Darth Vader-characther on one platform, and Yoda-characther on the other platform of that fighting game last gen - were kind of a dumb choice to make.
