Official Thread Playstation VR

Not necessarily necessary for VR, obviously, but I remember playing the Re7 demo and thinking how much more immersive it would be if you could handle objects like you would in real life, and is a huge part of what makes VR amazing.

It is, but for me, it begins to get old and in a world like RE7 or Skyrim, I eventually prefer just the immersion of the headset with the comfort of the couch and controller instead of waving my arms around for hours. The cool factor wears off for me quickly with the controllers, even with the Vive.

Why they didn't come up with a new controller that works like Move, but has the same functionality as DualShock 4 is baffling. I'm guessing to ease the burden of the cost of a new device. It just wasn't looking forward. Right now, it's like two split experiences. No bueno.

Still so undecided on this. I don’t know if I want a third system to buy games for lol. Where is de3d1 at with the deals??

I noticed it doesn’t have the wands. Big deal?

It's not the full VR experience, but its a good VR starter kit to see how you do. You can get the wands pretty cheap if you want to step up.

Depends on what you want to play. Google will help you with that as I'm sure there is a list of games that require and don't require PS Move controllers.

I'm jumping on that 199 deal. Both Astro Bot and Moss are said to be very good.

I've already got PSVR compatible games like Resident Evil 7, GT Sport and Tetris Effect. Am excite.

GT Sport is limited on content but yeah those games will keep you busy. Have you tried VR before? Are you on Pro or og?

Slim. And nope, I've never tried VR before.

Well you're in for a ride.

I haven't seen on Resetera forums in a few days and it has absolutely blown up with people buying PSVR and leaving glowing impressions. I've been telling those dudes to stop being so skeptical without trying it!

Best Buy has some older VR games on sale really cheap. A lot for $13.99. I just got Eve Valkyre for that price. Farpoint (which is great if you have the gun). Battlezone for the same price and is fun for that.

Not sure if I can link it, but it is in their weekly ad. In store and they usually have free shipping too.

Welp, I said that I was waiting for PS5 to jump back into VR. I lied. I rebought PSVR, the Astrobot bundle to be specific.
2020 is still a ways off and there is plenty of good content to keep me busy until then.

Nice. Did you already set it up?

Btw, I don't think we'll see a new headset until 2022, I'm constantly in the rumor mill. The overwhelming majority believe the PS5 will work with your headset and improve the IQ, along with new controllers. 2022 will be the next headset, rumored to a little bit shy of 4k.

I highly recommend getting Wipeout VR if you like racing, its super cheap on sale, and The Last Guardian demo.

Yeah I set t up and played a little RE7 again and Astrobot for the first time. I’m going to get Skyrim VR again soon. I think I can wait on the Move controllers for awhile. Unless I get Creed or something. I probably should have just paid the extra $50 to get them. But I really wanted the Astrobot bundle.

I bought Creed on sale and only played one game but it is a lot of fun. Be prepared for an actual workout though. You really have to throw a hard punch (I'm worried about hurting myself as obviously there's no resistance on the other end). I forget what it is on sale for in the PS store ($15 maybe?) and I'll get my money's worth out of it.

It looked kind of gimmicky but I was surprised at how intense it was. Felt like I was getting hit for real.

de3d1, give us your definitive top 3 rankings list for PSVR games.

That's super tough. Even 5 is difficult, but here you go...

1) Super Hot
2) Astro Bot
3) Resident Evil 7
4) Wipeout VR
5) Skyrim VR

There's probably another 30 games I would consider solid 8+/10. PSVR has alot of games in that range for me.
