This game is huge. It got huge fast. I created a forum for it to keep it separate from the Nintendo section. Not sure if it'll amount to anything. We'll see. I also parked huntthepokemon.com. I was going to create a completely separate forum site for it but figured this would be a better first step. There's also a different style used on that forum to differentiate it from Union's main forum.

Any feedback, ideas, whatever, send them along. Any ideas for subforums, etc.?

How many car accidents is this game gonna cause? I could see them getting sued when someone gets run over by a driver playing this.

I'm the same, too old first time around and way too old for all this jazz now......funny to see the world lose their mind over it. How does this generate money for Nintendo?

I haven't really played it but i can appreciate what it's doing and how successful it's been.

It definitely doesn't seem like a pay-to-win type of game.

I think it'll be interesting to see if Nintendo/Niantic try to make money outside of players. Like, have local businesses pay to put a gym/pokestop at the business.

It's not really a pay to win type of game. It looks like you get enough of what you need from just playing it. I play it off and on but it's a big time battery drainer. I haven't gotten too deep into it to know what can really be done with it. From listening to other people it can be improved greatly, but it's a great starting point.

Anything that get's people out and about is good. There is geocaching which is much more fun and a great established community and apps for the grown ups....

There are reports of people getting knock over I think.

Started seeing people walking about in groups near my way plus near work and it's not officially out here yet.

Good thing i take the subway. But some area on busy streets you dont get anything. That might be a design for it not to work. Like the BLVD in my area is the most deadliest road to be on in America. Also it wont work on I95.

1. Stocks. Nintendo stocks has already risen 23% the first day it was out! That equates to an uptick of 7 BILLION!

2. In game items sales. I already know of two neighbors in my neighborhood who are buying "lures" that lures Pokemons to your areas. And guess what? Local businesses that are a "Pokestop" or a "Gym" or near one are buying real life items like lures too in order to generate foot traffics or get business. Just check out twitter or facebook pages of local businesses that put up ads or boards that basically states. "Pokémon Go players please enter! Pokémon here!" And guess what? They use lures to get those Pokemons! and those things cost money.

3. Nintendo and Nitanc are already promising trading with other players in the next update (after they put down server crashing issues...The game exploded so fast that Nintendo was completely bush wacked on the servers...Like so many things, they didn't have enough! The end result was servers crashing or people not being able to log in). And then battling other players.........That will create a HUGE demand for stuff like Pokeballs, lures etc....Those will drive HUGE amount of revenues for Nintendo!

This is a great game. There' a large group of us that go out at lunch every day. I feel more motivated to go out for walks and bike rides. Just be aware of your surroundings people! Don't drive with this too. Can be very dangerous.

A military base near me had to issue a statement telling everyone they're not allowed to enter base to catch pokemon.

Oh how is she going eh? Any pokeymen up here in Canada yet eh?

I walk quite a bit anyway, so it's actually quite easy to play for the most part. What I find funny is when I do a little walking out of my way FOR a pokemon, and end up going to my original spot, only to catch the same pokemon there. Also, AR mode works like crap for me.

EDIT: Also, what's with the pizza joint theme for this thread?

I downloaded the app just so I could relate to what the hubbub was all about...and dammit now I am compelled to catch them all. :txbmad::txbmad::txbmad:

My girlfriend who made fun of me for playing this game has downloaded it. Now she's wandering around our apartment complex looking for pokemon in the middle of the night.

You should probably get a net and go catch her.
