Polygon: CoD: Ghosts. Say X1>PS4 version. VG PS4>X1.

Hahahaha... wrong.

I'm simply stating the fact that the media we have shows no difference, and I've proven that. It's in multiple videos, screenshots, and more.

You and consolewarz are the ones making assertions with very little evidence. You're asserting that the resolution difference is meaningful - but based on the media I've seen, that' assertion is false.

Therefore, it's absolutely on you to prove that the resolution makes a meaningful difference, and in order to do that - you're going to need media... and if *all* of the media we can pull from right now is flawed, then that's not my burden... it's yours. I'm simply stating the facts - currently, the media we have shows no meaningful difference... in fact, as the picture I posted shows, once again, X1's image actually looks sharper (jut like it did in BF4).

You are using faulty comparisons were the game is the same resolutions, I'm merely rationally suggesting we wait for proper comparisons and media. You on the other hand insist on pushing that these comparisons are the only thing valid and the comments from the people actually playing the game are somehow invalid, devoid of any reason or logic there is no more reason to continue as you have a clear agenda.

IGN seems to think that the PS4 version has a shaper image and overall better image quality. So it appears its a faulty capture imo.

the only thing I noticed in that video is the ps4 version looked darker.....and what I have heard from the console warriors is I cAN FIX THAT WITH MY TV,

"Meaningful" is a matter of opinion, it can't be right or wrong, you can't call someone's opinion "wrong". You're mixing your opinion and tech facts about the game while pointing to badly compressed youtube footage that looks to have been recorded in 720p for both versions. Of course the media is going to "show no resolution difference" if they were both recorded at the same res. People can't draw any technical conclusions if we don't have accurate footage yet.

Since you can't even tell that "meaningful" is a matter of opinion, and you continue to repeat "my opinion based on faulty evidence is a fact and I'm right until you prove me wrong" circular logic, I don't see any point to this. We'll get accurate footage eventually. If you want to see the visual difference between 720p and 1080p, there's non-CoD footage showing it already. You don't need to wait for CoD in particular.

Large numbers of gamers are (according to the metrics) ignoring you and "game reviewers" and getting the cheaper more powerful system, no matter how many times you repeat "not meaningful", "no difference", or even "Xbox looks better".

Shadowfall is technically a more demanding game in terms of GPU power, in line with the hardware difference.

I'd like to think of this as not a knock on the PS4 hardware but rather a testament to the incompetence of Infinity Ward.

Every version of this game has had to make compromises, even the PC, so it cannot be denied.

Q: "Xavi did you notice framerate drops on PS4? it has been rumored on several outlets that the PS4 version has some important framerate drops, do you know something about this?"

A: I've noticed some framerate drops, but it is very rare and not very annoying. When it happens you say "HOLY s***"! but it happens like once every six hours.

"Not very annoying and once every 6 hours". This is what some posters here have been celebrating, mocking, and taunting people over in this thread and the xbox one thread. Amazing.

Some more (badly compressed) youtube footage of PS4 version. The video gets blocky and pixelated often so not very useful for comparisons.

Yes it has issues which will apparently be patched. Are they as often or large as the review claimed? No. It was exaggerated while resolution was called irrelevant.

Yes, I'm sure you were there to notice just how much slowdown they personally experienced, which makes you qualified to determine that this was exaggerated. :smash:

If the framerate drops "like once every six hours", and "only a few non-persistent momentary issues" according to two other people, then saying it drops "consistently" is an exaggeration imo. That's not an unreasonable opinion.

It's a pretty biased opinion (just like the opinion that OMG the game is broken on PS4 because of the people who have had issues). Too small of a sample size to make any sweeping proclamations at this point, but I know that if I were in the position of playing a game and had noticeable and consistent frame drops, hearing that someone else doesn't won't magically fix the experience. It may be something like the Skyrim save problem on PS3 or maybe a buggy map or something where the slowdowns are frequent, or some combination of settings and capture stuff or anything else.

Of course, all of that is the kind of stuff that requires a somewhat open mind and some critical thought. It's a big step up from just invalidating reviews or opinions that disagree with yours using any twisted logic you can come up with, but once you make that leap you'll definitely enjoy debating in higher resolution.

so lets get this information were gather which I think its so stupid. all kind of information is all over the place. first the framerate, then the resolutions, then the video capture was incorrect.

I cant believe it gotten this bad with the console wars. Its so bad we cant even believe any website small or big because the info is so much FUD compare to those who had hands on here.

We rely on people that suppose to be top of their class reporters and even they some how f*cked it up.

I have a great information for all you guys, but the system that your getting THEN without the reporters we can give a far better information to spread.

I already speculated on why there have been conflicting impressions. Could have been some of them only played single, or multi, where there might be more drops. Or he could have just been exaggerating over framerate drops that actually only happen every few hours. I really doubt hardware was glitching up on his particular machine to give him more framedrops. Of course you can keep personally attacking me instead of reading what I posted. Seems to be a common theme on this forum. Don't read what anyone types, just attack attack attack.

"Framerate drops once every 6 hours" not sounding like "consistently dropping" is twisted logic and a "pretty biased opinion"? Wow. Unbelievable. I can't have an opinion without being accused of twisted logic and "invalidating opinions". Absolutely disgusting. This is a non-issue. It happens rarely, it's getting patched, most people are saying it's infrequent and not much of an issue, only the polygon review says "consistently dropping". Yet because I choose to believe the majority of people's impressions rather than the exception that sounds like an exaggeration, I'm the one twisting logic? It's like bizarro world, it really is.

Some of the posters here are celebrating and taunting and mocking over this, acting disgusting. But you've already turned a blind eye to those posters, I understand. You just want to single me out.

Oh, but the person who played the game and reviewed it and said the drops were consistent was "exaggerating" while the one who said "every six hours" is definitive? I'm going to again co-opt a wonderful phrase an Argentinian friend of mine once used to describe this very behavior: You act as if you are the owner of the true.

As long as you're deciding which opinions are valid and which are dismissable as "exaggerating", it's blatantly obvious that you're evaluating things in terms of how they fit your agenda. Which is your right - just stop trying to pull the poor victim card and just acknowledge that you're peddling your wares and people are understandably frustrated with not being interested in your particular brand of crap but still seeing it pop up everyfreakingwhere.
