Misterxmedia. One of my fav fanboy nut jobs.

His partner in crime mistercteam though was the real nutter. Still remember them boasting that the OG Xbox one was actually 5tflops or some s***, a year after it launched.

The photo diagrams done in paint were the cherry on top.

Haha nah, I used to live in Seattle, and I know a guy that has been in the gaming industry for a looong time. He is now with one of the most well-known studios there, but I only hear from him every so often.

I just talk to different people on Twitter, and sometimes they hint at things. I have no idea what’s real, I just chum the water here and let the sharks fight over it :). And those with tech knowledge, of course. I don’t care if someone thinks something I post is way off, I just prefer when it’s backed with facts.

Anyways , MisterX still has a website, but there is hardly anyone there. He’s actually slightly anti-gaming now, and more pro-Sony if anything. But he rarely posts anyways.

Although mistercteam still posts here from time to time under a different name.

Was reading the rumor about the two supposed consoles MS is going to announce, 4TF and 12TF doesn't make sense, what's the point in that? I could see maybe a One X with a new CPU so it could run the games at a lower res and level of detail but a 4TF machine? Are they just going to be doing current gen graphics checkerboarded and then just offering the same current gen games with the graphical upgrades they get now and 4K? I would think you'd want a console that could do upgraded graphics checkerboarded and then one that can do it at a higher res with even more upgrades, with a 4TF GPU you won't get that. I'm also still not buying the SSD thing but we'll see, a 1tb NVMe SSD is a lot more expensive than a 4TB HDD.

The 4TF machine is for 1080p and to be cheaper. If the rumored specs are correct the key to all this is the CPU being the same in both. It allows you for the most part to run everything the same except resolution.

Nope. X will remain in circulation for a while after. You honestly shouldnt need to upgrade until well into next gen starts if I'm being honest. And you can play Anaconda games on the X too, if Phil is to be believed.

If you could play next gen games on the X then they aren't next gen, the CPU isn't going to be a match for what goes into the new machines. I've never seen him say that old consoles will always work I've just seen him say that your games should work going forward meaning newer consoles will continue to be BC. I'm guessing X1 games will be fully BC with the new gen unlike 360 games which aren't all BC on the X1.

I know some people like to say the X and the Pro would become the default machines once a new gen starts but that makes no sense because both machines have weak CPU's and they won't be able to run games actually designed for better machines especially if games made for those machines still run mainly at 30fps.

You should be able to play Scarlett games on the X according to Phil. Hence the "family of devices." I think the only machine that wont be able to stay in the family is the OG Xbox One. If I understand it correctly, thats the version that will be left behind. I think they even stopped making the OG Xbox One

If they stopped making the OG it's only because the S replaced it, that generally happens when a slim model comes out. I don't believe that the X will play next gen games though, especially if two new consoles come out at the same time. Likely what you'll have is a cheaper weaker option so you don't feel so ripped off if you got a One X and then another more expensive higher end machine for enthusiasts.

The CPU's in both the One X and Pro basically make them useless for anything considered "next gen" that doesn't mean you won't see cross-gen games at first, that always happens when a new generation comes along but I think when they say family they mean your X1 games will go with you to the new console not the other way around, especially if there are two models to start with.

When you look at the rumor of the new consoles the CPU's are the same it's the GPU and RAM that are different and both of those CPU's are going to be well beyond what the X1X CPU can do as we should hope they are. The CPU's in the One X and Pro are just enhanced versions of CPU's that were considered weak in 2013, I don't think we should want console games designed that have to be able to accommodate CPU's that were considered mid/low tier 7 years prior. I can see why you are thinking what you do but I don't believe that's what they mean, they've also said at some point they'd have to move on as well which is what I think a next gen set of machines would cause to happen.

I’d imagine it will be like the start of this gen. Cross gen games for a year or two then the devs will phase the older consoles out. Devs won’t be pushing the new consoles until well into the next gen anyway like every other generation.
Do you expect SONY to drop the PS4 completely when next gen comes around? What about people who recently bought a PS4 pro?

No and I already said that we'll see cross gen games, McMasters was saying he believes that you'll be able to play next gen xbox games on the One X, playing a cross gen game on the one x is different than playing a game designed for the new console on the old one.

I think it may be more possible for longer than you think. MS seems to be aiming for a more PC-like "develop for the Xbox OS" paradigm rather than specific hardware platform dependence, so I could see cases where games can be built with multiple configurations that will disable more CPU-intensive stuff on older platforms. Really, until developers start putting as much focus on pushing the CPU as GPU, it probably won't matter.

Will it be a whole new looks to the S or will they just put a color match piece of plastic where you’d insert the disc?

I’m hoping for a lil chroma LED strip :p not really

Next-Gen Xbox Console May Feature An Internal Physics Engine – Rumor

The next generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles are in the works, but very little is currently known about them, outside of rumors. A new one that has started circulating online in the past few hours suggests that the next Xbox console will come with a very interesting feature that may change a lot of things for developers.
In a new video shared by Skullzi TV on YouTube, it’s been revealed that a recent patent from Microsoft suggests that the next-gen Xbox console will feature an internal physics engine. This onboard module should act a physics engine for next-generation titles, which should open up a lot of very interesting possibilities.

According to other rumors, the next-gen Xbox console will be released in two variants, codenamed Lockhart and Anaconda. The former will come with no disc tray to reduce costs, while the latter will be the more powerful of the two.
Xbox Lockhart specs
CPU: Custom 8 Cores – 16 Zen threads 2
GPU: Custom NAVI 4+ Teraflops
RAM: 12GB of GDDR6 memory
Storage: 1TB NVMe 1 + GB / s SSD hard drive
Xbox Anaconda specs
CPU: Custom 8 Cores – 16 Zen threads 2
GPU: Custom NAVI 12+ Teraflops
RAM: 16GB of GDDR6 memory
Storage: 1TB NVMe 1 + GB / s SSD hard drive
As Microsoft is likely to talk about the next-gen Xbox console at E3, it may not take too long to learn more about what the future has in store. We will keep you updated on the matter as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
