Playstation Plus

It came out around the tail end of 2019.

The publisher 505 Games is making bank on this game. I purchased it for PS4, then later on it came out that the publisher was charging to upgrade for nexgen so I repurchased it again for Xbox when the version with all the dlc and upgrade went on sale. Then it hit Gamepass and now the publisher is getting more money, this time from Sony for its PS+.

Gotta hand it to the publisher for milking the hell out of this game. But you can be sure I'll remember their moves and most likely won't purchase any games from them that are not on sale and/or discounted.
It was even on PS Now over the summer

Was waiting to play control until it got the PS5 upgrades but I just hadn't gotten around to it yet so I'll give it a shot, Destruction All Stars could be fun or it could be terrible but it's a new next gen game and we don't have to pay extra for it so that's nice lol I wanted concrete genie as well so yeah overall this is a good month for PS+

Greedfail is the worst game I've ever played on the PS4. Games like that make me want to box up the console and leave it in the closet. Even as a PS+ game it's terrible.

It is such an average game, the only saving grace somewhat is the story, everything outside of that is boring.

I feel bad for Remedy. They're seriously one of the best devs for me, Max Payne 1, 2, and the Alan Wake games absolute classics. They keep getting caught up in this nonsense from their publisher for Control Ultimate Edition. Even though I'm happy for them getting additional sales / downloads on the PS platform as well, wish they would have just stuck with Microsoft at this point. So much bad publicity because of how this all was handled, feels even worse because it's such a cool game. Bummer. I don't know anything else about 505 Games, but they can seriously go f*** themselves. Hopefully Remedy can cancel that contract immediately.

Destruction All Stars looks stupid, glad it's free

Haven't played it but do have it in my library. NXGamer just posted a TA video about it:

- Resolution 3200x1800 to 2304x1296 with TAA RC
- Cannot maintain steady 60FPS when screen is busy can dip to 50's, high 40's in worst case scenario
- No RT, employs high-quality cube maps
- Good implementation of Dualsense

Not sure how the gaming population is on the title, like are people still playing it?

Probably since it's on Plus. It was fun for about five minutes.

I've seen hints of Kena going PS+ which is cool. Want to give Godfall a shot as well so definitely awesome news if that is added as well.

Remember playing original Oddworld via rental but don't remember anything about it. Not a game I would buy but with it coming to PS+ I'll give it a try.

Playstation Nederland posted this and then deleted, but may be some merit to this. FF7 Remake is huge. One thing to note though is that if you redeem it from PS+, you're not eligible for the PS5 upgrade.

- Final Fantasy VII Remake PS4
- Maquette PS5
- Remnant from the Ashes PS4
- Farpoint VR

Great month but it not being eligible for the upgrade is BS.

Wonder if it took longer to announce this because they were still negotiating that

I think it's a win-win. The people who actually paid for the game gets the upgrades for free, the people who get it for free from PS+ will still get to experience an amazing game.

They have never treated Plus versions as lesser versions. Square is just trying to get people to double dip so yeah its BS.

I bought FF7R around launch last year, but never found the time to get around to opening it. I'll probably sell it on ebay and can hopefully beat the game before my PS+ runs out in June.

I think I'll try and wait for the PS5 FF7R. I loved the demo and had planned to get it for PS4 but got distracted by other games at the time. Its nice to see Sony not repeat how they handled the Spidey upgrade path which required another purchase for the PS5 enhancements.

Not surprised. In these covid environments, companies tried to rake as much dough as they can.

The guys over at Kotaku had a brilliant idea for FF7R. According to them, right now you can buy the PS4 FF7R for its sale price of $30 over on Amazon. Then you can upgrade later for free. You'll still have to purchase the new content separately so keep that in mind. I don't think I'll take that path and just wait because discs are soooooo last gen.

Speaking of which, luckily the Spider-Man Ultimate Edition disc comes with a download code for Spider-Man remastered, so you only have to use the disc for Miles Morales.
