Ahhhhh, Days Gone. I really need to check that out again and hope for the best because that was a wasted purchase. That game launched in such a horrible technical state and game was boring as fck. How do you make a zombie game boring? Just play Days Gone to find out.

Couldn't disagree more, I was a little hesitant about it before it launch because I'd never played a Sony Bend game before but this was a nice surprise. I liked the characters, the story and the setting a lot. the gameplay is as good as any other 3rd person shooter, nothing amazing but not bad either. I have to ask did you ever go up against a horde? those are really intense fights.

I don't get the horrible technical state, when I think that I think something like State of Decay 2 where I had several bugs that crashed the game just after defeating a difficult juggernaut etc. This had some visual hiccups here and there but they were ironed out fairly fast. Only thing I'd complain about it some odd slow down here and there later on in the game, it can handle huge hordes just fine but going through a specific area with no other characters can cause slow down. I'm guessing that's a bug or a streaming issue in a particular area but otherwise I had a blast with the game and I hope they are allowed to do a sequel, it did sell a lot of copies so I'm sure Bend will get to do something else with the IP.

I think the detail in the NPC's is really good especially for an open world game.

The "freakers" have a nice amount of detail considering they can put a hundred or so of them on screen at once, if you zoom in on this one's eye it looks really good. The graphics in this game are highly underrated IMO.

Days Gone is really impressive visually considering Bend are only like 100 people.

Yeah Days Gone has a lot of things going for it visually, great looking character models, good "faux K" really nice lighting etc. It took them a while but a relatively small team made a very impressive looking open world game.
