I think if the specs are what have leaked, they will talk about more power in general terms but not raw numbers.

It will be similar to the part of the Xbox One reveal where MS talked around the numbers and just used words like speed and power. They may state percentage of multiple increases at the very best.

They know they will be 'Top Trumped' by the competition so will probably keep the specific numbers out of sight.

If they don't give specific numbers, the press will be all over them. "Give us the specs!" Reluctance to be open about the specs might backfire, making them seem defensive. It's getting too close to release to use vague terms like "power." They need to just put the specs out there.

If the event was to announce a console that is delayed.... well that's a s***ty event.

They never announced a launch date, so there can't be a delay. But, having said that, there won't be a "delay." It'll be out within a couple of months (I firmly believe).

That's the "supposed launch" part of what I said. I get what you're saying though.

Sources have confirmed November, but I feel like Sony should anounce... then delay.

Tradition is traditiom.

Reading up more on the VR is making Sony's VR sound awesome on ps4 now.

I've been getting more interested in VR, too. Still not ready to take the plunge, but I've seen some videos that have increased my interest level. Hopefully they'll have something interesting to show or say at the conference, maybe about additional benefits from Neo (although I don't think they'll want to emphasize that too much).

Insider Report: incoming version remaster of Red Dead Redemption on Xbox One, PS4 and. .. PC! Announcement for September 7.
 
I'm hoping they at least bumped up the cpu and gpu more than the original leak. A little a least.

It would be a good way to reveal the console. You could have Cerny wriggle out of the rhino's anus and then pull the Neo out of some back pocket or skin flap, and then say, "Ladies and gentlemen, I present the PS4 Neo!" Best reveal ever!

I bet that would make some headlines. It might be tricky to get Cerny and the PS4 inside the rhino and then out through the anus, but I'll leave the logistics to others.

They can't delay the Neo anyway. Then you could really call it the DelayStation. It's a no win situation for Sony. :laugh:

Post-conference you shall either be hailed as a prophet or shamed for your lack of 'gaming business' acumen!

My guesses:

Slim $250, out ASAP. They won't trump up anything other than price and size.

Neo reveal, $400-$450...I'm leaning towards $450 for now at least. Out this Holiday, but they won't get too crazy about specs. Probably a great sizzle reel..but keep an eye on those release dates (or lack thereof). Might even show a Neo RDR remaster to get people even more excited.
I'm most excited for more God of War, Horizon, and possibly TLOU 2. Maybe new Last Guardian stuff..? Which is maybe why it won't be at TGS?

I think they'll show some great game footage to take peoples' minds off the specs.

New game footage for PSVR, maybe something unannounced. And probably a bundle announcement.

I'm doubting any handheld/portable stuff but we'll see.

I say $300 for Slim. That is still a price drop and I don't see them feeling the need to go cheaper.

Not really expecting anything major on the games front
