Makes sense, that likely means no PSX event this year but they really have no reason to do one anyway since Death Stranding will already be out, the other two games probably won't be playable for the public and they won't have any real PS5 stuff ready to show. I'm not saying I believe this to be true but I can see why it would be.

Saw this earlier, the only thing that seems outta place is the showcase for star wars seeing as MS has the marketing rights this year.
I didn't see anything about a Star Wars game in any of that, only specifics I saw were TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima but maybe I just missed it.

It’s in the second link, second line of the image...

Ah ok thanks I hadn't seen that, this whole thing may be fake but I also haven't seen anything that says MS has the exclusive marketing rights, at E3 neither EA or Sony had a press conference so MS's show was the only one to show it off in front of people.

This is the closest thing I've found just quickly searching but it could just be another thing I'm missing. If Sony is having a state of play in November it would make sense for them to cover the game since it'll be launching that month as well, I don't think Xbox has anything scheduled for that time. I'm not saying that "leak" is right but it does make sense unless there is a marketing deal with xbox.

You'll have a choice of consoles to play on: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions have all been confirmed. EA and Respawn haven't mentioned any platform-exclusive content yet, and given the game's conspicuous lack of microtransactions, it may skip them entirely. Xbox sponsored a few giveaways at the game's reveal panel but none of them included goods specific to Fallen Order. Hopefully the experience will be more or less the same wherever you decide to play.

Someone here pointed it out when I asked the same question when, they brought up it being tied to MS. It would make sense with the way they swung it at the gameplay event and the next day at the Xbox presser, that and they feature it in there b-roll footage...

My only reason for doubting it as a deal rather than just something of convenience is that neither EA or Sony had press conferences this year so any 3rd party game that wanted a high profile showing had to be at the Xbox show. That doesn't mean that it's not an exclusive deal but it could also just mean that they showed it at the MS show because that was the only other place to show it.

I'd settle for solidly built hardware with adequate quieter cooling. Right now, my PS4 Pro sounds like a turbine revving up anytime I play anything graphically demanding, ie. Spider-man, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn.

Mine has become a little louder over time but it's usually only when I'm going through menus.

I would love if the focus was 60fps, 4K and runs quiet and oozes quality.

They should be quiter. Don't think a simple descrete heatsink & fan solution will work too well with the power we will seemingly get.

Been around on the other big forums the last couple of days due to a patent filed in Brazil but it looks like a dev from codemasters confirmed that this is what the PS5 devkit currently looks like. Keep in mind that the PS4 dev kit looks nothing like the console.

Just looking at it makes me think the design was dictated by cooling more than anything.

Mockup that has been going around the last few days based on the dev kit patent, honestly I don't love it but if it had to look like that because it helps it cool better I'd be totally fine with it.

Who ever drew that is “lacking perspective” :p the 3d mock-up looks neat though

I like it. And at least it looks functional. The PS4 was not only ugly, but a pain in the ass to use since almost every port is shielded by an annoying overlapping ridge. I’m not sure what they were thinking in it’s design?

This would explain the ‘leaked’ specs discrepancies

That would suck...just give us the best you can Sony. We don’t need a PS5 Max.

But honestly Sony, I’d be ok if ya gained a lil weight with a larger and quieter fan, your PS4s sound like asthmatics being force fed air through turbines on the brink of expulsion.
