The touchpad has to be there for BC, you can't pack in a controller that's missing features from the previous one if your console is supporting the previous gen of games.

A screen that small would be useless in madden, you wouldn't be able to read anything and good luck picking a play using your fingers on something that small. Just go by the honor system when playing vs someone in the same room like we've all done for decades lol.

I like the idea of it, but in reality I have to agree...I really don’t think it’d be practical for most games. Plus as mentioned, it would just drive the cost up.

It is one of those things that sound cool and a good idea on paper, kind of like Kinect on Xbox. In reality though it just wouldn't be much use.

That was a long winded 'I agree." lol

The touchpad and speaker in the controller is gimmicky and not needed (or not implemented right yet) imo
Sony did the same thing with the ps3 and the six axis thing.
Just make the controller ergonomically better (which they also did do with the ds4).

It is because only first party are likely to do anything with it. Same as the rumble triggers in the xbox controller. The haptic triggers on the DS5 will likely be the same.

Aww thanks ;-). I’m still waiting to hear from my main guy in Seattle. I was there 2 weeks ago, and he said he’s seen both dev kits in their office but hasn’t worked directly with them yet. He told me he’d give an update when he could, so I’ll let you all know when that happens.

i can’t release the screen name of my source or they may come under fire for their anonymity and vpn usage and lose access to them and I may lose my platinum card because none of it is true in this alternate universe

You think MS/Xbox would allow any new Xbox become a dev kit?

Wait, does this mean that we’ve dev kits officially, if the above is the case????

Things were so much better before the internet existed for things like this.

Reading factuai info in video game magazines > fake internet people

Your memory not so good. Those mags had lots of rumours all the time. The only difference now is you hear more rumours.
The difference is that the bar to entry in a magazine is much higher than the dude who posts 1337 leakz on Twitter.

Sure, lol. Same way you thought they were facts. LMAO.

Simple fact is game mags of yesteryear wee no better at all. The amount of stuff they got wrong shows the entry wasn't higher at all. We have just have more now, which makes sense. The amount of interaction between devs, companies and average joes has grown massively. More people now have 'friends' in the industry.oddly enough, these leakers get more right than pro people like Pachter, and gaming Journos are clueless and just regurgitate the leaker info.

Yeah a lot of "legit" gaming news sites tweet things out using forums or other people on twitter as their source, it's sad actually.
