A LOT of that Cerney video used flexible language, tbh. Lot's of "We expect" and "should". My general impression was that it was all still a work in progress and they haven't really nailed it down- especially the Audio part where he literally talks about it developing over the next few years. It sits in stark contrast to the very technical and solid way he talked about the hardware set up.

The audio thing developing over years is fine and makes sense with what they are doing.

A video game retailer in Canada has begun taking pre-orders for the PlayStation 5, and they're only charging $559.99 (roughly $398 in USD). Previously, Sony has made allusions to the upcoming PS5 console price being "appealing" to players, but the company has not yet revealed an official number to the public. However, as the game's Holiday 2020 release window edges slightly closer, Sony has given gamers a few tidbits of information to hold them over, although they still have yet to even reveal the console's look. - Screen rant

The only thing I didn't expect there was the need to wrangle the audio chip. Could potentially eat up 20% of the bandwidth? That's kinda crazy. Everything else seems top line up with speculation. Still a lot of unknowns.

Another one...

As a worrisome statement, `` There is a considerable difference in performance between Xbox and PS5 when actually developing '' "Xbox compression is better than PS5 Kraken"
I want to see the game video as soon as possible! Want to watch!

Looks nice, but I would not be surprised to see Sony go more non-traditional like MS. I suspect we might not have seen the console because they aren't done designing it. Of course, it also makes no sense that they wouldn't have it set by now considering they probably have to start manufacturing

They didn't show PS4 till June 2013...

I say it because I had a overarching impression from Cerny's use of words in the Road to PS5 video that they weren't done designing the thing. Also note my own, non-concrete wording. I have no idea.

I present conjecture. It could be all set for all I know, but I'm still caught up in Cerny's very unconcrete verbiage. I'd have to go back and watch other videos of his to see if it's a normal thing for him to do, but it stuck with me, and ive heard enough PR talk to feel suspicious of it.

That video was filmed before it aired ie wasn't live.

I didn't get that impression at all.
People had doubts in 2013 as well.

What if the ps5 was in our sights all along, during the Cerny talk...not the ancient vaio prop but the podium itself, a prototype design, it probably kept the room warm?

I like it. It looks like something that Alienware would make. Futuristic for futuristic sake.
