Yeah, its still really difficult to get a PS5. Its taking real effort for us gamers who are on the look out for one like a hungry animal. The average casual gamer has no chance right now unless they get lucky.
That would be my co-worker. Said he was interested in a Series X. Not sure how hard he's tried for it (think he's coming from 360 and primarily PC) but I saw Target had stock this morning so sent him a message and he got one lol.
It's pretty cool that several of us have finally scored them in the last couple weeks. I"m glad I won't be the only one experiencing the PS5 launch 3 months late!
If it shows up I would suggest breaking it in slightly before going all in on a marathon gaming bender. Let it heat up and let it cool down.
It is loaded on a truck for delivery. You have to love the loaded on the truck at 7am, will be delivered by 9pm window. I'm actually starting to let myself get a little excited now.

Congrats- what games you get and what do you think of the controller? I like the size more than the rumble but the rumble is pretty cool also.
I got to play my nephews PS5 yesterday ( spoiled brat) lol.
He only has a smallish 1080p tv. So It wasn’t an optimal setting.
But the ray tracing was evident in Miles Morales. I f***ed around looking in shop windows seeing the world reflected back. I noticed there was a limit on distant characters. Which is weird because high above the ground, distant building are reflected in the windows.
I tried Astrobot. It doesn’t seem like there’s very much to it. The controller has a nice heaviness to it now. I like it. But the hype around the force feed back stuff seems to be that, hype. Neat. But not game changing. We’ll see what others do with the tech.
I want a PS5. And I’ll get one on the spot when the opportunity arises. But I think I’m getting another Switch first. There are several games on it that I want to play. Namely Mario 3D Land and Ghouls and Ghosts Ressurection.

I'm liking my PS5 so far, as I knew I would. Both consoles right now are just a good bang for your buck, performance wise.
I like the controller so far, but haven't spent much time in a game that uses it. Played a little Astro, but platformers are not my thing. Jumped right into GoW which is a lot of fun.
Really want to try Spiderman remastered and Miles, but not paying $70 for that. There's not even an upgrade option considering I already have the original game?

I'm really enjoying Astro but I do like platformers.
I’m in on Deathloop for sure. Returnal I will wait for reviews and then probably a sale. MLB The Show I’m hyped for after not having a AAA baseball game in forever on Xbox.

I'm setting things up now but have a question. I purchased the console with the Spiderman Miles Morales Ultimate Edition. It comes with a download code for Spidey Remastered which I'm downloading now. But does anyone know if I need the disc to play the Miles expansion?

Yeah, disc is required for Miles (I haven't played it yet, but I tried loading it up to see how that works). It more or less installs to the SSD, does a check to make sure you have the disc, and then immediately stops spinning and runs off of the SSD.

Ohh well its not a big deal I just avoid discs if possible. Its funny how I've changed from needing a disc to not wanting anything to do with them now.
I haven't played any games yet. But after using the dual-sense to mess around with the system it feels very much like a Xbox controller in my hands. I think its the extra weight and bigger size. I'm anxious to try out the new controller feedback.
I'm also anxious to get another game. I have Miles Morales but I'll probably gobble up the content in no time since I really liked the original Spidey game. I also have the original Spidey dlc which I never played so there's that as well. I might get the Nioh 2 remaster for some Samurai/Shinobi action.
