*Sees the Bloomberg report*

Its been a pleasure gentlemen.

To be fair that quote lacks context, he was talking about old games looking the way they do and playing the way they do vs the high fidelity stuff we have now, he wasn't talking about remakes or remasters. I agree with him on that, I have little desire to play PS1/2/3 games without some kind of visual upgrade same with xbox. Now MS was able to get some older games to improve their resolution and that helped but it was only for a fraction of the overall BC catalogue, RDR and The Witcher 2 benefited greatly from that, they were ugly as hell before the upgrade especially TW2 which looked worse to me than it did playing natively on the 360 which at the time was impressive.

I bet Geoff had a massive ol chubby over that news and blew his wad all over his dualsense 5.

so fastest selling now in home console history in both units and dollars. Momentum continues into this new gen, amazing stuff.

As well as a big push in the USA compared to the rest of the world but the demand is definitely going strong.

XSX isn’t doing it either. But Xbox is running circles around PlayStation in constant communication and fan service while leadership at PlayStation are in their corporate bunker lying about release dates and their next gen plans.

Absolutely. Because of Xbox we have to pay to play online.
They don't have to include any games but choose to offer much better offerings than Gold.
Gamepass is a different not noteworthy product.

PlayStation needs to be putting up Demons Souls, Miles Morales and MLB The Show on their subscription service for me to be impressed. A very small handful of old games doesn’t measure up. I have a new console so why would I want to play those games? Jim Ryan even agrees.

No they don't.
That model isn't what dominates gaming.
Sony and Nintendo will continue to dominate gaming without relying on those types of services.

The sales success of PlayStation 5 is nice but that’s expected. I want to be excited as a gamer and PlayStation so far isn’t doing it.
We are only 5 months in during a pandemic, some big games coming soon like Ratchet and Clank in less than 2 months and Returnal in a couple of weeks if you are into that.

Jim Ryan doesn't want new games on a sub service they need to make the money back so they can finance the games currently in development. Sub services will likely lower quality and output, look at MS they've released 3 AAA games in the nearly 4 years of GP two of which are racing game sequels.

Spencer talks to anyone who'll have him because that's all he has is talk, his studios still don't have games ready and the bigger ones are probably still a couple of years away.
