He a young Drake though... might be able to pull it off.
Watching the trailer imma go with "nah", lol. Don't believe him as Nate for a second. He's not... manly enough. He's in his 20s in the movie. I always thought David Boreanaz would be a great Drake. He's probably too old now though, but along those lines. Holland doesn't have the same energy.

Most people don't have an issue with Holland as Drake they don't like Wahlberg as Sully.

Nah it’s neither, there’s only one real issue anyone should have with this film….why does wahlberg lack a mustache, will it be digitally inserted or do we have to wait and pay extra for a directors cut where he has one?

Wahlberg would make a better Drake. He's definitely not Sully though. I will never understand this casting garbage. They are only using Holland because he's a popular actor right now, not because he is suited. We know who Drake is, sounds like, looks like. It's too big a deviation.

Both casting choices are terrible. Even if Holland was playing the kid Drake from the games who wants that?

I think Holland is a better Drake than Wahlberg would have been, Wahlberg is too dry and doesn't show enough heart to make you root for him in movies IMO. Holland is very likeable as well as popular and of course the point of a movie is to make money, he's also very talented physically and can do a lot of his own stunt work if required. He does look small/young for the part but depending on what time in Drakes life they are going for it may work well, I think most of the guys people have said can play Drake are a bit old for it now, like Fillion is 50, not really the time to start playing an action star IMO. Harrison Ford was in his late 30's when he played Indiana Jones so we had time to watch the character grow older, having a guy start it at 50 limits things a bit too early IMO.

I saw that clip. That's not really a lot for a warehouse. Obviously stores will be holding on to some to get traffic to their store and websites for the holidays.

I really hope they're not dumb enough to make people scramble in-store for the consoles around Black Friday.

I do agree those guys are too old now, but I still think Holland is completely miscast. He's likeable but not like Drake at all, imo. It's annoying because there are thousands of actors out there and Uncharted is well known enough that is doesn't need to lean on big-name talent that we see everywhere. I just don't know why they bother doing it if they can't capture what made it popular. Holland is just not right for the role. At least now I can bitch about casting without being called a sexist or racist, lol.

You are a sizeist....is that a thing yet? if not it will be, you just don't like him because he's small lol. The guy nails it as Spider-Man I think he'll probably be ok as Drake. I never thought of Drake as a big tough guy anyway I always thought of him as an average guy in height and build. We'll see, hopefully Holland can make the role his own and the movie can provide a little something different from the games but we'll see. The movie could turn out to be absolute trash or it could be a fun ride, I'll watch it when it's available to stream.

My TV updated last week which I assume is this update? I don't remember it asking me to do HDR settings again. Either way I've always done it manually anyways.

He's a tough guy, not a "tough guy". Drake to me is like Indiana Jones. It's a totally different energy from Holland. I don't have much interest in a non-drake take on Drake, lol. I'll keep an eye on it, but I'm not optimistic. Drake is one of my favorite game characters.

It reminds me of when they made that Sword of Truth show and made RI hard this little 20 something pretty boy when Richard is supposed to be like 6'2" 220, and his size was a part of his character. They screwed up a ton of stuff (like the whole fundamental philosophy of that first book). I loved that book series but couldn't get past the second episode.

Bottom line is they went with the guy they thought would make the most money, we've already seen the Nathan Drake you are talking about in the games doing those things, it's probably easier to go with a younger actor who's hot right now as well as multi talented vs trying to find some other nobody to fit the part. All of the people I've seen suggested are too old and anyone in the right age range is going to be controversial because there is nobody I can think of at least who really would come across a real life Nathan Drake looks wise.
