we might be in store for a game engine that really gives lower-end hardware something to work with.
Good news for Sony and Lockhart.
Don't you mean Lockhart and XSX?Good news for Sony and Lockhart.
I'm willing to make a strong bet ie some PayPal cash or PSN/XBL credit that ps5 puts out better looking exclusive games than XSX.Well, we already knew this, though. It'll run on mobile phones, also because it is designed to downscale to less powerful devices and upscale to the most capable. Based on what Sweeney said, the less powerful devices will simply use fewer of the resources in it's engine is how it works. He said the PS5's hardware was used to show completely what the engine was capable of.
All i know is Sony’s 1st party is going to blow this engine out of the water.

Would be determined by the most best visuals/art style/graphics awards.
I was looking at The Last of Us real life model the other day and couldn't help to noticed how talented Sony’s internal studios
and contract workers are just with the PS4'S hardware, I mean the credits list is long. The PS5 is on a completely different level, both freedom and speed. These launch titles aren't showing anything of what's to come later on.
The guy from Epic Games is wrong, what he meant to say was that the SSD is the most important component for gaming performance and not the GPU.

Dude that's the safest bet in the history of betting. But it has nothing to do with which console is more powerful.I'm willing to make a strong bet ie some PayPal cash or PSN/XBL credit that ps5 puts out better looking exclusive games than XSX.

Well it kinda does with some of PS5 spec advantages that 1st parties can use.Dude that's the safest bet in the history of betting. But it has nothing to do with which console is more powerful.

PLUS we do have to take into consideration better devs as part of the spec comparison.
The Initiative took a bunch of Naughty Dog talent.Considering the massive turnaround at Naughty Dog, itll be interesting where that talent gets snatched up. Still, Sony has the cinematic game on lock down. Interesting times ahead
"The power of the PS5 also means that we will have an option for 120fps, which is very exciting for the racers who know that every frame counts,” teases Rob Karp, Dirt 5’s development director in just one of many exclusive PS5-focussed previews.

Has to be fake cause the console can be laid side ways.
yay, three or four cars for gt7 multiplayer via psvr....
makes me wonder if the back of the ps5 will have all the inputs for the next gen psvr instead of having a separate block for plugs and such
MS had a show a couple of months ago where they said Dirt 5 would have a 120fps option.RK: I think the visual fidelity is something the players will love. The 120 framerate option on the Xbox Series X and the smart delivery option too. I think what we'll be announcing in August is going to be one of the biggest, most exciting things that people will be talking about when they talk about DiRT 5 next-gen.
Are there any plans to bring VR support to DiRT 5 as you did post-launch for DiRT Rally 2.0?
CG: At the moment there are no plans to implement VR support for DiRT 5. Of course, never say never, plans change and things change over time but DiRT 5 is launching on six different platforms so we're fully focused on getting those nailed down, so there's nothing in the pipeline at this moment on VR support.
DiRT 5 Q&A - Dishing the DiRT with the Codemasters Folks
As well as having hands-on time with DiRT 5, I was also able to participate in a Q&A session with members of the dev team. Here's what we talked about.wccftech.com
As far as the breakout box and the PS5, it already supports 3D audio (Tempist Engine), which the PS4 did not. It also has the muscle now to convert the signal -especially with that patent over in the VR thread. PSVR 1.0 was obviously a test, which is likely why it used the Move controllers. The next edition is likely to turn the heat up as it is obviously the future of gaming. Sony pretty much made this clear in one of their dated interviews regarding the HMD and what they want to see with their next headset that they didn't get from this one. I can retrieve it if you'd like. But, this is likely why you don't see all the extra ports on their next-generation system compared the the PS4.

hmmm, interesting latter bit... thing we’ll get another ps event in august to showcase psvr/move stuff?
I doubt it. Sony doesn't want their next HMD to distract from the launch of the PS5, so they showed off the camera, instead. So these guys obviously have this thing in the back somewhere patiently waiting for the right time to drop it.
For now, it is confirmed that the system will still support the 1.0 version, though. So PS5 VR games are still good to go until then.
