In my experience the only thing that made me say wow was the 1st time I played Forza 6 with the controller.
Anything else was soso.
Yeah. They even downgraded it in Forza 7, or at least changed it for the worse. It is still good in that. They are a great, underutilized feature of the controller. They communicate so much of the road and tire information. That's why I'm not optimistic about the PS5's controller features- because no one seems to care about it. Hell, even the center pad on the DS4 is super underutilized.

Apparently, after many hours of searching, no such list exists on the Internet, which is curious.
So, with the help of this sub, my game collection and every other credible source we can find, let's try to compile this list!
If you see someone confirming support for one game which you know has support, please post a confirmation as well. It's better to have at least two individual sources, if we want the list to be as accurate as possible.

Show, maybe not. But tell, sure, atleast something with context.

Yeah but again they need to get to make games only for next gen consoles to tell what they really have, if they have to keep working on current gen what's the point of them trying to do much with the SSD's now? they need to update their engines etc. We'll find out soon enough I'm sure it's just going to take some time.

Support wasn't the discussion.

Lol wut
The exact same list that got posted is what you get by googling, that list is facts not opinion, not sure how that is hard to understand. It's you that started ranting about opinions, not me.
The list is just games that 'support'. Who the f*** said X game is the only one that supports it? Nobody. Hilarious!

Never said you did...
All this stems from you being overly defensive.
Defensive about what? You made no counter point. You didn't reply to what was said. You think an irrelevant list is relevant. And your only fall back is 'm being defensive or upset. Which is hillarious considering this all started from an OPINION that you seemingly have no valid reply for, but still replied with nonsense. So, who is really the defensive one here.

It was a simple opinion on the quality of usage of a hardware feature based on my experience.

In reality, i'm just lmao at you.

You my friend, should try mindfulness.

You're welcome. Might I suggest you start with learning the difference between fact and opinion.

It's opinion when it's what someone else believes. It's fact when it's what I believe.

Okay, you turn around, load 4GB. Turn around again, load the different 4GB. That's 8GB of textures for one place you're standing. So have six "areas" you can stand in, boom, that's 48 GB. If you want to have a portal-themed slideshow where you can turn around and load ridiculously insane snapshots for six different environments, that's brilliant.

Possible doesn't mean reasonable. If you're in an environment where you're actually going to be interactive, you load that 4GB into memory so taht when you turn around again, and again and again, you don't have to keep re-loading it. If it takes two seconds instead of a quarter second, you preload it even sooner.
And that's fair enough. So now the question is WHY is it such a huge part of the system's design if it wasn't going to serve much of a purpose to the system? The message wasn't misconstrued. I'm sure you saw it yourself. Why the change, then? Why the revolution?

So again, perhaps you just know more than they do. ....or maybe they know something that they haven't yet told you.

Traversal and load times. That's what massive sequential read speed is for. The stuff about texture streaming? We haven't heard one specific from Sony how they're doing that - just what decompression they're using and that they've got 5.5GB/second, which will be outstanding for load times. MS on the other hand is specific about their SSD changes being architected specifically for finding textures fast. But until we know more about these SSDs than their theoretical bandwidth max, all we can really know is that Sony will handle big sequential loads faster.

Which is why i say it is a waiting game. Those using the hardware, aren't just saying the samething for no reason, I'm sure.

The thing about the impulse triggers and the DualSense haptics aside from what i mentioned earlier about their locations in the controller is the demographic these two platforms are aimed at as well as their not being another option of force feedback to take the haptics place. So unlike Microsoft, Sony can cater to a completely different avenue (VR) to offset the use of these features. They also have more than one great feature in the controller, so unlike the impulse triggers, they have a much larger tool box for developers to work from to complement the use of other features in the controller. So when something doesn't work for the X controller, it truely doesn't work unfortunately.

The touchpad touch feature was underutilized, but the pad as a whole wasn't. I think a lot of that had to do with the design of the pad more than anything. It was very narrow, making the touch area limited to touch, not to mention that it wasn't standard across the platform's interface. Second, Sony has always been adamant on the controller having a pad over a screen due to them not wanting to take your focus off the TV. Having said that, the touchpad on the DualShock 4 was obviously a test of the waters rather than the big idea they had in mind for what they were truely shooting for when the pad was first implemented. There is a reason it is still in the controller aside from it's altered look in design. But i guess its easier to undermine its potential if you can't look beyond this generation of use. Keep your eye on it, though. I feel it bares a bigger secret than you think that may get developers a little excited.

Well, i do know one thing... the haptics in the controller are not housed together with the dated rumble tech. They, instead, replace the rumble tech entirely. So there is no optional use; it is the default standard to all games.

But like you said, i, too, expect Sony’s first and second party to take full advantage of the controller. Now, VR is a completely different animal. The controller basically has VR written all over it. That level of immersion will be scary real if it weren't already.
VR is the first thing I thought of with Dual Sense. AstroBot really made use of every DS4 feature in such a nice way, from the touch pad to the built-in speaker. It's hands-down, the most innovative VR game I've played so far. Being able to see right inside of the controller, and collecting those little lost bots inside, and actually hearing them go in right from the controller speaker is just SO immersive. The whole package is right up there with Nintendo's finest, IMO... I REALLY look forward to seeing what Sony Japan Studio (ASOBI) does with the Dual Sense and AstroBot 2. I have no doubts that it will blow us all away again! I really hope AB2 is a PSVR2 launch title!

You're welcome. Might I suggest you start with learning the difference between fact and opinion.
Suggest all you want, but if you take the time to actually read every post of this little feud we have here, you might start to see that your overly defensive mind got in the way of your common sense.

I suggest you relax, breath and focus on something soothing instead of this stressful forum that apparently makes your inner peace rage war with neutral exterior forces.

Which is why i say it is a waiting game. Those using the hardware, aren't just saying the samething for no reason, I'm sure.

They're all comparing to regular hdds. SSD is a game changer there.

That is funny coming froom the person who thinks this discussion was about facts.

I love how expecting you to show your reasoning for diisagreeing is soomehow being defensive. It is all you people have for a retort, defensive, upset, and other variations, it is ridiculous.

All you had to do was name one game with good usage of trigger rumble. Could have been a decent, civil discussion. But nope. To use your logic, I guess your empty retort was just you being defensive.

There not really saying anything, though. Just grand vageries. That is the issue, they are the devs, people like us tend to get stuck looking beyond the limitations of hardware we are used to.

It was about facts, there's more games supporting it than just forza, that's a fact, not an opinion.

Which people?

Never claimed I knew any, I did claim more games than forza supported it, which you would've known sooner if you googled that fact.
