He was the first to have Sony's show date a couple months ago and he had The Initiative not at the Xbox show which nobody wanted to believe.

Like I said he had schedules for events and that one he broke was changed and others came up with the new date just before he did or right around the same time. He may have some info here and there but he's been letting what he wants to happen creep into what he's reporting lately. We went back and forth on twitter a while back about the Xbox Gold requirement coming down for online play, he insisted it was going to happen on what was clearly just him guessing and hoping it would be true vs having any real knowledge but he presented it as if he knew it was happening for sure.

Tough to know what is true and false with any rumors regarding PS5 with how silent Sony’s been. Senjutsu Sage may be correct and if Sony had to downclock to increase yields then it’s pretty obvious they would not that to get out close to launch.

No chance they’d down clock just to get a few million more units for next six months. All these so called insiders just throw s*** out there and see what sticks. As the old saying goes, even a broken clock is right two times a day. Then when one of their guesses turns out right, they claim to be insiders.

We are talking about preparing POS (Point of Sale Advertising) visible to everyone in the store, centrally at the opening. The preparation of these POS obviously requires work, and it is not a simple sheet printed in the video game department or a web page with a few images, as we have already seen in some chain stores. So it looks like the store knows the opening date for preorders, and it should be overnight. It is hard to imagine stores having POS in-store indicating "available for pre-orders" if the opening is in several weeks.

If you zoom in on the attached little sheet, you can read that the console is scheduled for release in November. Here, difficult to draw conclusions, the precise release date may still not have been disclosed to Sony partners.

Well it doesn't matter much that it was changed he still had the right date since Sony did announce it and he had other stuff like Tony Hawk. You could be right that he has taken the attention he has got from some of the right calls and is now pushing his luck and throwing stuff at the wall.

Maybe he is right about Gold and maybe not but it wouldn't mean he has no credibility if he is wrong. You aren't going to find anyone who isn't wrong sometimes even the most credible. He wasn't the only one making that claim anyway.

Plus in this case he isn't claiming anything is true or not true about Sony.

Sony got them boys running scared.

the current collour variants are already 64.99. My guess it’ll start at 65 but won’t be surprised if it’s 70

Amazon has that controller for $60

This is the teardown:

Sony sells that controller for much more than it costs to build it. Sony doesn't have rumble and haptics in the DualSense. The rumble has been replaced with the haptics alone with a mic and adaptive triggers. For Sony, all of that likely cost them around $7, battery and all. This is why i say $70 will be the very most it'll cost.
