$70 USD will very soon be the standard. Once a few of the big name publishers and a console manufacturer demanded it, it was a wrap. At least Nintendo hasn't jumped on it yet. Their priced stay at retail FOREVER.

I don't have a issue with buying games for $70. I paid more in the 90's.
I have a issue with a piss poor TLOU rehash for $70.

My big issue is that PS games don't seem to go on sale very much, and when they do it is a very minor $10 discount.

Maybe I'm missing them, but I still haven't seen sales for games like GT7 or the newer Horizon game. I'm fine waiting for a sale, I rarely pay full price for games anyway, but they don't seem to go on sale much.

For me it isn't $70 at launch, but that the price holds for many months after launch. Maybe I'm just missing the big sales, but PS sales seem to be mostly really old games.

Ps has the big sales usually once or twice a year. I believe some of the exclusives like Demon's souls remake, returnal, etc. Were down to like $39.99 or something last winter. So maybe GT7, HFW may hit that price this Holiday?

Agreed, I thought Horizon would have had a sale by now. I know Ratchet and Clank had one some time ago, but some of their newer titles seem stuck at retail. Not that I have time to play them right now but I understand where Kerosene31 is coming from.

To DriedMangoes point, Sony both digitally and at box retail seems to restrict their sales to major points during the year. Maybe look for a discount during Black Friday/ Winter Holiday season.

I think this is Sony's big summer sale (I could be wrong), but it looks pretty thin. Not even $10 off some big releases? Even Deathloop only has the special edition on sale (not a bad price though). I've got a big backlog anyway(I'm still legit finishing the first Horizon right now lol), but I see much better sales on other platforms. If I could wait 6 months and get a new release for $10-20 off, I'd be fine.

Also, are they still charging people for the PS5 version of the game when you can just get the PS4 one and upgrade it for free?

Honestly these prices make their PS+++++ whatever a decent deal.

This holiday is going to be a good one for PlayStation. First time in how long since they are releasing one of their mega franchises during the Holidays.
