They have used OLED before and it's suitable for this tech.
OLED with HDR is the needle mover that has PC people shook.
No it doesn't, 99% of "PC people" don't even care about VR.

On one hand, wired and no speakers, for probably $500, when you can get an all-in-one Quest 2 for $300.

On the other hand, it's going to be the 1st headset with dynamic foveated rendering, and has a chance to bring the best game library to VR, so far.

REALLY looking forward to RE8, but disappointed that both the RE4 remake and Horizon are spin-off content. I've played through most of RE4 (GameCube ver) on Quest 2, and it's REALLY great, but desperately needs a graphical update.

Considering we still don't have a price or release date, my best guess is $600, and early next year... I've gotta say that I'm not quite sold on a $1K total system, so far, as this is what I would get a PS5 for. Perhaps I just need to demo one, and I would also need to see more games.

On the flip side, I'm very happy with my Quest 2 hardware, even if the games aren't anywhere near what the PlayStation brand can offer. The fact that you can buy the whole thing for $300 is an absurdly good deal, and the OS and controllers are miles better than OG PSVR was.

I'm not negative on it. They just need to show me more games than this, in order to justify a premium, wired headset.

Sony Santa Monica scribe and ex-IGN reporter Alanah Pearce has used the headset, however, and in a livestream she revealed a few impressions – despite technically being under NDA. “I’ve played this,” she announced of Horizon Call of the Mountain when its gameplay trailer emerged. “This is why I’ve tried PSVR2, I’ve played it. I’m technically not allowed to talk about it, so I guess all I’ll say is that I found it very, very cool. I was actually just very impressed with PSVR2 in general. I do work for PlayStation so take my word with a grain of salt – bias and all that. It may mean absolutely nothing but I was super impressed – I found it very cool. Unfortunately, I really can’t comment on this at all.”

I like the design. Obviously no cable would be better, but with the consoles doing the heavy lifting there would be too much latency to stream it to the headset. They need to get HL2: Alyx on there as a launch title - that game is truly something else.
