Official Thread Quantum Break

I need to finish Tomb raider & then get ready for this.

This is my most hyped game of all time

that started with letter Q & end with letter K, & release in April, & you play someone wearing a black jacket & blue jeans.

s*** PV deleted my posts and I wasn't even trolling :(

That's like a third of the hard-drive.

i only have 50gig data limit on 4g as i cant get dsl or fibre. I just take xbox around to my parents and download everything from there.

nothing going to stop me from enjoying the full game experience.

I'm pretty optimistic. When your review is almost 40 off the mean you are more than just an outlier, you are biased AND/OR your score doesn't match your opinion. I think the two 40s reflect a bit of both.

A better metacritic score would be to throw out the two 40s and two 100s, which would take the average to around 80 even. I'm fine by that. Seems to be a solid if unspectacular title.

I have another theory, it's a bit nuts, the people that gave it low scores didn't enjoy it.

2 points would hardly be anything worth nitpicking over.

GBs scale would suggest that a 2/5 isn't meant to be considered as terrible as it looks

5 Stars - While we don't believe any game is perfect, we recommend this game without reservation.
4 Stars - Still very good and easy to recommend, though it doesn't quite live up to its full potential.
3 Stars - The halfway point. An inherent appreciation of this game's specific gameplay style, characters, subject matter, and so on may play as big a role in your enjoyment as the actual quality of the game.
2 Stars - This game's problems outweigh its good qualities.
1 Star - This game will make you wish you had died in a fire moments before turning it on.

If you are worried about scores just read this glowing summary from IGN Sweden at the end of their 10/10 review.

If it is just a matter of like/dislike then it wouldn't be an issue. If you want to have a score up then you need an explanation as to why a two star rating is justified. I didn't see that in the review.

What one, Time or GB?

The problem with GB's review is the reviewer is a well known hater of 3rd person shooters and has often hated on the UC series. So why make someone who's not a fan of the genre review the game?
Doubt they do it with UC4.

Jeff Gerstmann is the editor and chief of Giant Bomb so I doubt that anyone made him review it, perhaps he wanted to play it. He's in charge and could palm it off to any other member of the team if he wanted to.

I don't think he was out to 'do a number on it'.

They don't review that many games as a site anyway.

Not saying he did but it doesn't make sense to have someone who doesn't like the genre review the game.

I don't like the American football games so if I was a reviewer it would be silly to give the job to me

The last game he reviewed was The Division which is a third person shooter that he enjoyed and rated 4/5 so I guess he shouldn't have given himself that one either.

Hang on, he gave The Order 2/5 as well. Oh well.

'More of a game about borders...'

I think painting the broad brush analogy of 'I wouldn't get the sports hating guy to review the sports game' is a stretch in this case.

He just didn't like it. I guess we will find out if any of that team liked it on next week's podcast.

All I see is that the preponderance of the reviews think the game is pretty darn good. That is enough for me to keep my Day 1. Who knows, I may dislike it like Gerstmann, but considering I loved MP and AW I am thinking this one is a safe bet for fun and value.

The Order was an odd one but also got a lot more mixed/negative reviews. This has got a s*** load of positive to two negative.

Wonder if a Max Payne 3 style MP would have improved it for some? But could you get all the powers working?

Reviews is mixed. Hopefully someone get their hands here & let us know their feedback.
