Official Thread Quantum Break

Paul serene scenes pointless? The decisions made there change the story!

I agree about the stand in actor. I couldn't care less about Ashmore. The stand in does play the cab driver, though.

If the game was too easy you should probably up the dificulty? It seemed to have a decent challenge level to me...

And he still outshined Ashmore a few times (for me anyways), lol. That guy was hilarious, the random s*** he was talking about was great.

I enjoyed the story and I'd love to see it fleshed out in a TV show or a movie, but the light-hearted/jokey stuff throughout definitely stuck with me.

i dunno, I thought Ashmore was a plus to the game. He's a decent, charismatic actor, and he and Dominic Monaghan do share a little facial resemblance, at least passable that they're related/brothers, something most casting directors don't seem to take into consideration in movies/film. The difference in accents, however, that's another story. Overall casting was pretty good IMO. And yes, the original actor that Remedy was going to use for Jack Joyce was great comedy as the taxi driver.

I thought Ashmore was fine. I even liked the character he helped flesh out, so he did a good job. I just didn't need the "star" power, and kinda liked the lead being some Unknown guy who definitely seemed to have the chops for it. Big name actors tend to make me associate the actor, whereas the original Jack actor was just Jack Joice, and I didn't associate him with anything else. I guess it feels more authentic that way.

Rumour that this patch is being done by 1 person who started it without even telling MS

You can definitely see improvements even from the compressed YouTube video. It'll be nice to have a reason to play this again.

That makes no sense. This is a game being featured and shown around to media outlets such as Digital Foundry for analysis. The lengths NeoGAF goes to throw shade on Xbox is both pathetic and hilarious.

Yeah, Quantum Break was the game that got me the most hyped at the start of the gen. Along with Ryse. Playing them in 4K will be mind blowing. Not sure if they said Ryse is getting enhanced but QB will be nice.

Loved this game but I just couldn't beat the last Boss...rage quit a few times so my nephew came over one day and he did it for me lol, after a few failed attempt as well.

  • Quantum Break apparently just began it's update on some users Xbox: 95 GB

Ouch,is that with the between chapter TV stuff...? probably not as it would be even bigger, imagine if they do those in 4K ;)

QB on my X1 is just updated.. 94.7 GB..

That's without the 'between chapter tv stuff'
I might have to go back and play QB. Not because of the 4K, but as much as I liked it back then, I might like it even more now as I have become more enamored with single player games.

You'll need to wait for this to come out on PS4, then, because we know XBox only does multiplayer and microtransaction games so you'll never see something like Quantum Break or Recore on the Xbox. Sucker.

Just saw that if you install the Episode packs(chapter TV stuff ;) ),it comes to 178 GB...my gawd... ;)

Mine is like just over 100 GB if I recall right, which may means it has the episode stuff (I know I had originally installed that when I had the game last) and maybe it doesn't have the 4K update? Fortunately my re-play through of that will be well after AC:O, plus Witcher 2 and 3 at minimum, plus probably more time on Path of Exile and getting into Elite: Dangerous again.

The video quality was just fine before, imo.

I bought QB digitally and played through the first chapter and a small portion of the second. Gotta say, I'm really enjoying the game! It's at a slower pace than I thought it would be but I'm liking the story. The time distortion graphics, character models and lighting are very impressive.

I wish they'd put in less collectables. There's a lot of friggin emails and scraps to sift through already . Alwan Wake was nicer in that regard with the narration of the pages you found.

Never again unfortunately. Well in the immediate future anyway, unless one of the secret IPs being worked on is Quantum Break-esque. Such a shame. All they need to do is build their own studios and take more chances. QB, ReCore, and Ryse could be mega franchises if they put in the effort and if people who claim they want those kind of games actually bought them.

Well there you go. He knows it by fact.
