So I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit over my old 32 bit version. A rather large file called windows.old.000 is on my drive. Do I need that file, can I delete it? It's pushing 80 gigs in size. I've already back up all my stuff, so I'm not sure if I need that.

Do they NOT make 4+ gb sticks for DDR2? I can only find sticks online with 2 gb max per stick.

The windows.old stuff is all the old system files and such from the previous install. Completely safe to delete, but make sure all your personal stuff transferred over like bookmarks and favorites, etc...

if you backed up all your files then go ahead and make a clean installation of your new copy. Keep in mind that from the jump to 32 to 64 they might be some apps that might not work other wise your good.

Ok, so this is my mobo:

I currently have 4 gig of DDr2 1200 ram.

Can I replace with 8 gigs of this? And would it be better?

And will this cpu work with that mobo and ram?

1. Unfortunately for you, that motherboard will not work with that processor. AMD's latest Bulldozer based FX line is AM3+ socket type. Your motherboard is AM3/AM2+, despite the similar name, they are not similar socket types (hell I was unaware AM3 boards came in DDR2 flavor).

2. The memory you linked will work, and you'll get marginal improvements over 4GB depending on the application(s) in question.
