Prime 1 studio & other primium figurine companies like XM & sideshow charge premium for their figurines. To be fair, these figurines requires a lot of manual work, like painting, & good painting takes time. Also they hired top scuplters & one peice can takes months from concept to manufacturing.
Still they price they charge can be over the top.
Which is why I see a potiential market for 3D print figurines.
This pretty much explain why Chinese seems to be able to do anything, We keep building factories & outsource jobs to them. They took the experience then started their own since they gain all the expertise already.
Funny thing us, in 10-15 years time, it will be the Chinese that outsource their jobs to the west. When Indians realise they are capable of pretty much most of what Silicon valley can do, (since they outsource to them already), there will be no need for silicon valley.
Wouldn't be surprise such authoritrianism come to the West. Remember, authoritrianism come almost always in "for your protection", & "for the greater good".

Uhhh no. We're not going to "slippery slope" and become China. China locks down their internet in a way that makes this more enforceable (there's still probably going to be ways around it). Western countries don't even have that ability, which is why we fight so hard for an open internet.
Maybe Europe is a little different (but I doubt that much). This would never, ever fly in the US. You can't even enforce mask mandates during a deadly pandemic here.

If any government tries to get involved with our internet connections, stand up and make your voice heard. That's how oppression starts.
If you look at any country trying to control its citizens, they start with the internet. In China, if you tried to search for "Tiananmen square" I have no idea what you'd actually get. Probably a knock on the door from the authorities.
We've seen in other countries when protests start, they simply cut the feed to the internet completely.
This is why even when we see the awful things on social media, we do NOT want governments stepping in. Ultimately, we need to choose what we view and what we don't. The minute a government gets any control over internet content, we're screwed.
It’s not just the government but powerful Corp like google, and Twitter. When you control what people can see, hear , read and watch, you can control what people think, & shape their view, you can control people.
Any form of Information , thought and speech control is bad, it doesn’t have to just come from government.
Except Twitter, for example, isn't trying to control what you say - they're trying to control what appears on their platform. It's like if I wanted to go into my neighbor's house to poop and they said no, they're aren't trying to take away my right to poop, they just aren't letting me poop in their toilet.
It’s Semitic, the point is they control what you can see on their platform. They have megaphone unlike you shouting at a wall at your home.
The key is they have great influence like media. People get their information from these sources.
the bottom line is many of these social and internet giant hold monopoly and influences, and influence =power and this power can be abuse to push their agenda and we should be just as wary.
today their agenda, politic, ideology maybe align with yours. But tomorrow it may not, and ideally ( I am not saying I have a solution) good or bad ideas ( in ones opinion) can be discuss and debate & people can listen to all viewpoint and make up their mind themselves Instead of a few people in Silicon Valley or Washington decide what Information and speech should be available as much as possible shot of criminal plot and stuff.
i don’t think kids should be playing that much game, I also think smoking is bad, and sweat and racist words are bad, among many things, but I do not think me, the government or anyone should be forcing rules on people. There is a distinction between good advice and authoritarian.
