A girl in my video games?

Why Me Crying GIF by Team Coco

I'll always play as a guy in a game that let's you choose but so much unnecessary drama. Then on the flip side you get those that get creepy towards female characters.
Looking at you Stellar Blade.

Puritan standards like that has hurt the industry over the last couple of decades.

Dried and Val acting like they don’t constantly have a bias and spread their agendas here and attack what they don’t like is hilarious.

@Kvally sorry to hear that. Yep a couple posters starting ruining this forum years ago. We can’t just talk about what we are into, upcoming stuff we’re interested in, or playing at the moment… we gotta constantly defend our interests or counter the stupidity. I’ve looked around but pretty much everywhere else is toxic. Thank god I have a gaming podcast Discord I can talk games in where people act normal like they would in real life about gaming. Been in that community for years.

Hahahahaha

You realize those "awards" aren't really a big deal, right? The whole show is a marketing event and Keighley used his father's fortune very well to position himself as one of the biggest "influencers" in the industry.

To expect objectivity from him is akin to expecting objectivity from political pundits.
Personally I don't think any awards show matters, what my favorite movie or song is doesn't change because something else wins an award that year, they are all subjective.

Gamers and female characters are such a strange mix.
I don't think it's as big of a deal when it's a new IP with a female lead, when a series has a male lead and it's switched to female it seems to hit a little harder. That being said if it weren't for all of the lecturing from the hardcore online fake feminists, I don't think most people would care.

For sure. The ones I mentioned do matter to the developers however.

Literally in the article posted TODAY, just read it. These layoffs are part of the RECENT news from September layoffs. These positions will be leaving in October 2024 in the future.

"Then earlier in September, Microsoft Gaming announced a further 650 layoffs.

Regarding the most recent layoffs, she states, "The 400 roles you're seeing in the system are part of the recent news and are not new; the roles that were impacted include mostly corporate and supporting roles and some impacts to gaming teams."
