The game is fun but I tweeted a suggestion to them to add an "iron man" mode where matches have a 5-10 minute length and you can respawn after getting knocked out and the winner would be the person who caused the most knock outs during the match. Right now you can wait over 2 minutes to get into a new game and then be knocked out in less than a minute, that takes the fun out of it.

In 2017, the game "Sonic Mania" became quite a hit, and we were approached to make a movie about it. At the time, Sonic was not explosively popular in the U.S., but he was a character that had gained a certain level of popularity. The people who used to play the game, in other words, today's generation of parents, know about Sonic, but it is not clear whether children know about him or not.

Therefore, if a movie is made here, we will be able to spend more money on promotion than was possible when the game was released, so that young children, their parents' generation, and even people in regions where Sonic was not well-known can enjoy the game. We felt that the timing was right for a "Hollywood movie," a huge firework display.

At the time, however, there were some within Sega who did not welcome the idea of making a Sonic movie.

At the time, there were some who said, 'There have been many failed cases of game adaptations into movies,' or 'We'll be duped and just take the money.

But as it turned out, Sega had the flexibility to change things that needed to be changed in order for a wider audience to see the films, and Paramount had an understanding and respect for video games, so both sides were able to come to terms at the right time."

Sonic fans are very vocal. Paramount was surprised at how many enthusiastic fans there were in the process of making the film, and as Paramount executives saw the fans' Tweets and posts, they began to think, 'Let's listen to the fans' voices. That's because of Sonic's fans.

Sonic is successful was partly due to Sonic looking like the sonic we know as kids. Both in looks & character.

Many adaption failed becase instead of respecting the game, lore & characters, they add their own "Spin", Then call fans toxic, & other usual smears, when they complain. Then cried when the movie/TV shows bombed.

I am old enough to remember buying game mags like EGM, gamepro to unlock cheats & walkthough.

I sold over 800 magazines on ebay a few years ago. I was getting EGM, Gamepro, Gamefan, OPM, PSM, OXM, Dreamcast Magazine, Gamers Republic, and all sorts of random names I forget. The internet ruined gaming magazines.

The global economic environment is a challenge that many of you around the world are no doubt experiencing. We're seeing high global inflation rates, as well as adverse currency trends, impacting consumers and creating pressure on many industries. Based on these challenging economic conditions, SIE has made the difficult decision to increase the recommended retail price (RRP) of PlayStation 5 in select markets across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), as well as Canada. There will be no price increase in the United States.

The new RRPs below are effective immediately unless otherwise noted.*

  • Europe
    • PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – €549.99
    • PS5 Digital Edition – €449.99
  • UK
    • PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – £479.99
    • PS5 Digital Edition – £389.99
  • Japan (effective Sept. 15, 2022)
    • PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – ¥54,980 yen
    • PS5 Digital Edition – ¥44,980 yen
  • China
    • PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – ¥4,299 yuan
    • PS5 Digital Edition – ¥3,499 yuan
  • Australia
    • PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – AUD $799.95
    • PS5 Digital Edition – AUD $649.95
  • Mexico
    • PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – MXN $14,999
    • PS5 Digital Edition – MXN $12,499
  • Canada
    • PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive – CAD $649.99
    • PS5 Digital Edition – CAD $519.99
While this price increase is a necessity given the current global economic environment and its impact on SIE's business, our top priority continues to be improving the PS5 supply situation so that as many players as possible can experience everything that PS5 offers and what's still to come.

Thank you for your continued support.
