So finally got around to this game the past couple of nights. Been interested in it for a while but figured it was just going to be griefer central. First night just did the tutorial and did an intro mission for the Gold Hoard. Had some fun, didn't interact with anyone so that was good. Played again last night with a couple friends, went to do a mission for the Order of Souls or whatever, get on the beach and realize our ship is being blown up by another crew. I swim out there and they just kind of stare at me. I head back to land to just do the mission and one of their guys shows up and one shots me. Turned the game off. Nah fam too many games and not enough time to play to worry about a******s. Let me play 100% PvE and I'll care.

It's a PIRATE GAME.

This game clearly isn't for you. It was designed as a PvPvE game and will never be a PvE only game. Having 0 threat to your treasure hunting would be brain dead boring.

Is there a threat anyways? Outside of time lost of course. Seems there is no money required for the ships from what I can tell? Just gold you find on islands or if you're transporting stuff. Guess we didn't lose anything other than time when we played. Just kids wanting to grief for no other reason than because they can. Got plenty of other games to play so no worries on not being able to enjoy this one.

I'm dumb when it comes to gaming statistics, but this is good right?
Well, in a way. But the game JUST released on Steam this week. So new games tend to chart high. But Steam reviews are good. 13 points higher on average than the Xbox version when it was released 2+ years ago.

This game has been the equivalent of getting a sequel several times over, for the same price. As a Gamepass game, it's just as engaging. Such a win for Rare and Microsoft!

Have they added more content or is it still the same three basic objectives just dressed up?

Amazing how big this game is. If this game came out at $60 WITH all the content they have added, that is some bang for the buck. I do with they would make a campaign for it, as well as have the multiplayer game as a service.

Is the game crossplay. Does it work solo or good only playing with friends?

I do still enjoy going for a quick solo run on the small boat
It's all I ever play anymore. Last time I was on a brig, I forgot where everything was. It's hard, but builds character. You cannot catch a sloop against a headwind!

I'd definitely be down for some dynamic duo sloopin with any of you cats, sometime!
