Ubisoft has slapped a release date on the next-gen version of Rayman Legends with a somewhat bizarre trailer featuring Snoop Dogg (AKA Snoop Lion). Why is Snoop Dogg in the trailer? We have no idea. But the game will include some extra content and new features.

As well as upgraded visuals, Rayman Legends for next-gen will also include "suppressed" loading times between maps, while the Splinter Ray, Ray Vaas and Globox Vaas skins will also be bundled with the Xbox One version of the game. Ten exclusive challenges (the ones without Gamerscore) will also be available for Xbox One, giving you time-limited challenge achievements to unlock.

Rayman Legends will be available for Xbox One on February 27th, 2014 in Europe and February 28th, 2014 in the UK. A date for North America has yet to be announced. Check out the weird Snoop Dogg Rayman Legends next-gen trailer below.

Trailer in the link. Good news for me. Might return my current copy so I can just play it on the X1 for the first time as I haven't even unwrapped it yet. Maybe give it to one of the kids of my family for Xmas.

Sweet I think I might pick this up soon. Been itching for a platformer lately.

Keep in mind, the game also comes with all the levels from Rayman Origins. You simply play through the main campaign of the game and you ultimately end up unlocking more levels which is a huge plus to anyone whose never played Rayman Origins. You also get this challenge. Two daily challenges and two weekly ones. Those really help add to the retail value. It's fun going back to do these challenges and try to get a higher score. Not to mention the game has a ton of unlockable characters. It also has Snoop Dogg in it if that appeals to you in anyway.

Eurogamer say the Wii U version is the best overall because of how it uses the tablet.

Just what I wanted to hear. I'm not really even going to be paying to much out of pocket anyway, so it sounds like a no brainer.

It looks groovy. Reminds me a bit of Limbo but with 3D graphics and a more traditional, yet vibrant color scheme. Also, I want to see some X1/PS4 vids when you guys get it!

Rayman is very good. I am glad there's pretty much an option for everyone. Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, there's no reason to miss it.

I was talking about the Max game, but Rayman is boss. I'm the only guy around here who bought Origins day one. Just had to get it, but it was made easy with a gamestop pre-order of Beyond Good and Evil download.

My fault, I quoted the wrong post.

I never played Origins, I am picking this up soon and will play co op with my fiancee, we had a blast with Mario on the Wii U before I sold it.....Im just waiting on my 2nd controller to be sent back to me, my damn day 1 d-pad broke and had to send it in last week! If I had both controllers right now I would be stopping at Target tonight to get the game but I need to wait, ill be to tempted to play it by myself.

Impulse purchase last night and am loving it so far! Lots of fun and seems like it will take quite a long time to go through all the levels and challenges!

I'm obsessed with the daily and weekly challenge and my thumb is sore! Having lots of fun with this one! Very, very addictive!

Well I beat the game. it is really fun, but some of these achievements are going to be a grind.

Such an awesome game, really addicting and the music level are best. Definitely worth the $40.

Loving the game so far, there is a ton of content. Still trying to figure out exactly how the daily challenges work, but they seem fun too.

You score as high as you can. Bronze, Silver, and Gold are the medals you can get. You can get lum rewards from those medals when the day is over with, same will go for the weekly challenges. You want to go for the gold to get as much lums as possible if you want to reach that 1,000,000 lum mark. I'm almost at 500,000 myself. Be sure to use Uplay too, you get about 20,000 extra lums for playing and beating the game.

Thanks. So it doesn't matter if someone else beats your score? You always get the trophy?

I think your actual spot gets taken, but I personally haven't gotten a lesser trophy than what I started out with. I usually just go for gold and when I hit it once, I'm done for the day. I do try to improve here and there depending on the challenge, but overall, it's me trying to get as much points as I can in the least amount of time.

OK cool, the game makes it seem like you have to fight to keep your trophy, but glad it doesn't because that would drive me nuts.
