Remedy Working On Two Next Gen Games

COntrol is a great game, & technical wonder. that could be a big financial success if not for some fundamental and 'out of touch' design.
Game is too hard for the average game ( A simple fix is difficulty modes for people who like challenges, & people who don't) & frustrating due to scarcity of save points.

Note to developers. If you make a single-player game, just allow multiple save files & let us save as we want it. & load where we left off. Single checkpoint save is one of the worse thing originated from console to PC. One save point per level even more dumb in games like borderlands 3. You can have one giant map that takes maybe 1-2 hours to fully explore & do all the quests, but one save point at begin of the level. Seriously.

Control was a let down but I still have faith in Remedy.

My problem with Control is the level design. It's really convoluted, and the map does not help. Also doesn't help that the office setting is so similar looking. I'm stuck right now because I can't find out how to get to a blacked out area of the map. It's not-at-all obvious what door I need to use to get there. Sucks too, because it's been pretty fun.

I'm in the same boat. I love the story..but I got stuck looking for the area of my next objective. Haven't touched it since.

Yup, same problem here as well. I am stuck too, and the map is horrible.

Did not like control, terrible checkpoints and got lost too often

I saw that the latest update should have fixed the map at least somewhat.

Doesn't help that the enemies keep respawning when you explore also.

I think that could be an example of an option in difficulty, where 'story' difficulty or whatever wouldn't have respawns. I think normal difficulty should have it, but I do agree that games with this kind of story focus should have an optional difficulty setting low enough to let anyone interested get through it.
