Ren and Stimpy was like a twisted 50s and 60s throwback in such a way that it actually was so out of time, and so out of the ordinary, that I'm not sure that the same thing would work today without some serious tweaking. I could be wrong, but I'm not sure I'm sold on new people taking this property over. However, taking this to Comedy Central is probably a good move. The show honestly had no business being on Nick when it started, and I was a teenager with my mind blown when I first saw the pilot episode... anyway, hope it's good! There's a lot of potential there!
