Yeah it's not amazing, I wouldn't say bad either but it's average at best, there are already quite a few games to play on the console that look better. It's cool that they allowed this kind of "showcase" or tour I guess but I can't stand games where they don't let you defend yourself, also not a fan of RE in 1st person so I was pretty underwhelmed with the whole thing. I am curious to see how it looks once we get outside though but I'll be deleting this demo tonight I don't have any desire to play it again.Looks pretty bad on PS5 as I play it.
What is it about this scene that the PS5 hardware finds so hard to maintain 60fps. Am I doing this right DriedMangos?
I'm sure it'll please fans of RE7, but this is a huge pass for me.
They went the right way with RE2 remake, I'll hold off until an RE code veronica or, even better, a new entry in 3rd person with real zombies.
I heard a pretty compelling theory that the entire reason Capcom did the "Village" thing with RE8 was so that they can recycle a lot of assets into the RE4 remake they have coming down the pike for SX/PS5. Would also help explain the big departure from traditional RE games and dark fairytale motif.I love the RE4 vibes from VIIIage, but that combat looks clunky AF.
RE7 is getting upgrades so you might want to wait.No PS5 yet but I'll be waiting for that before I play this game. Might even give RE7 another play through as I really enjoyed it. I am going to be a bit scared playing RE8 though and getting a fearection on the goth chicks in the game.
It's over! It is SO SO incredibly sad. How does it feel fake resident evil fans, to be part of the losers club? These lazy millennial devs at Capcom are clueless. You fake resident evil fans can deny it all you want but this is the reality of the situation. The cracks are indeed starting to show. This is not a resident evil game. I tried telling you, but you didn't want to listen. You didn't care. You never did. You were too busy going HURR DERR DERR DERR!It's a demo, lol.
B for effort though.

o be precise, four new SKU (USA, Japan, Europe, and Asia) have been uploaded (backend, not live yet) to the digital storefront, all named (Biohazard in Japan) “Resident Evil Village Gameplay Demo.” As previously confirmed by Capcom, the title of the demo confirms that this will be solely focused on gameplay, whereas the previous Maiden demo was a visual showcase. The demo is allegedly around 10GB from the information on PSN.
What’s more, the files also contain some images with the branding of “Gameplay Demo” along with a control scheme for what appears to be for remote play functionality.
