I'm about to go see it in 2 hours. Really excited, I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to action movies. I just hate the pg-13.

i thought the epilogue scene was silly. when it came up i was excited because i thought it would show some dramatic moment from the past that showed that the 2 guys (forget their names) had a strong, underlying bond within their relationship and how that blurred the lines between the simple "cop vs bad guy" premise. but nope, the scene was just them getting into a fight. it was so underwhelming that i feel like i had to have missed something?

I do find that scene really WEAK. The intention must be to explain why Chung saved Jasung when he knew he was a cop, but by that time I was like ugh not another flashback. Flashbacks in this movie are weak. I usually don't like them and in this movie it just hurts the pace. Maybe it's just me, but I think flashback is a cheat. People rely on flashback because they cannot convey characters in the given timeline, especially so in this film.

Let us know how it goes! I've been wanting to see this for a long time. Hope it's generally good.

Watched it this afternoon.

Not as good as 1 and 2, infinitely better than 3 lol.

I enjoyed it for it was. I went in not expecting the movie to be anything like the first or second one.

Thought Oldman and Keaton did a great job.

The new Robocop was okay. I'm very open minded about these reboots even though I am a huge fan of their 80's-90's counterparts.

I really liked the whole premise of Robocop actually being very human and dealing with the emotion of what happened to him.

Personally, I think they spent too much time with him being a "zombie." Basically a human turned into a robot, with no selfawareness, etc."

Didn't dig the black colored body

at the end he get's back the classic silver colored body from the previous robocops.

All in all, I hope that they make a sequel.

I agree with zombie. Though I liked the black and I think the silver is stupid. I also didn't like the ending very much. I do hope they make another one though.

Seems like there are a lot of mix reviews about this movie. As usually, I think I will wait until it comes out on Blu-Ray so I can see it for myself.

When TRON was dusted off and rebooted, I really liked that they did it as a "Legacy" movie. It was a continuation and not a do-over. Even after all this time, they brought back Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner.

I wish Robocop was handled in a similar way. Peter Weller could have been a background influence like Jeff Bridges was in TRON. Also, Weller didn't necessarily have reappear as an old Robocop just like Bridges didn't have to wear the same 1980s Tron getup.

Or possibly even have Ann Lewis as a returning character following the new Robocop.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I still feel this way about how to deal with selling old movie properties to a new generation.

I, too, hate Robocop 3. It was terrible. :( I just checked at Box Office and noticed that it did not make any profit at all! In fact, it was the worse movie (money-wise) of all Robocop movies.

Robocop (1987): $53,424,681
Robocop 2 (1990): $45,681,173
Robocop 3 (1993): $10,696,210 (ouch!)

Let's hope the currently Robocop will make more money than 3 older movies altogether.

how the hell can you even have a good wed opening lol. Who goes to the movies on wed?

They probably did it for Valentine's Day which makes even less sense. With the weather, holiday, and day of week, the release just has plenty going against it. Could be different over the weekend though for sure.

I maybe watching it in the weekend.

But seriously, robocop 3 is really bad. The 1st 2 was good, although Robocop 2 made me unable to sleep for a few nights, with scene of the exposed brain & eyes. I was still fairly young then, & these things make me uncomfortable.

?

I mean Rockstar Games.
Sorry, I just didn't think of 'star' when I saw '*' but I wouldn't want them to make a Robocop game. Robocop itself doesn't make for all that good of a game I think. We're talking about a slow moving behemoth. They'd have to make Robocop so much less mechanical than he is in the movies. Even in the new one he's pretty mechanical moving it seems because that's what people identify with Robocop.

Robocop 2 was horrible. Yah, a 10-12 year old kid who is one of the leaders of the Nuke drug trade lmao. Never bothered with part 3.

Anyway, I need quick answer. How do you rate the new robocop with other action flicks like Wolverine in Japan, Thor 2?

I need to know if its worth my time to see in cinema.

Part 3 is especially horrible. Better not watch. Ninja, Katana wielding cyborg, enough said.
