I've adored Adventure Time and Pendleton Ward! I have only heard mention of Gravity Falls and Regular Show.

It's nice to see cel animation doing so much better. There is a generous appreciation for this timeless way of telling stories. I love that!

Seagal and JCVD, two of my favorite stars of the most terrible 90's movies, but the movies are so great to watch!

I dunno. Seems like there might be some social commentary in this if not quite like the original. It may even be as watchable as Dredd.

Will wait for reviews.

why go that way now?

Probably because R-rated movies aren't as successful as they used to be. Look at Dredd. Great movie, huge financial flop. I'd say that it's pretty obvious that the decision was in hopes that it'll reach a wider audience and thus make more money.

Except dredd wasn't a huge financial flop. It didn't make money on release but its become a huge cult classic. In my opinion one of the main reasons dredd did badly was the 3d title it was given . that was just bad marketing.

Lowering the age is expanding the potential audience but it doesn't mean your reaching them , especially if you have a crap marketing.

Cult classic it may be, but making $35 million internationally with a $50 million budget is a financial flop no matter how you cut it. I doubt most people refused to see the movie because it was in 3D. It's one thing to be a memorable movie, that'll keep make it beloved throughout the years, but no profit isn't good for anybodies bottomeline, especially Liongates.

I said it wasn't a huge financial flop, and it wasn't. 15 million is nothing to lionsgate, especially since after sales haven't been tallied.

And the movie was advertised as Dredd 3D. It was emphasised as a 3d movie and that did go against it in my opinion. I personally know 3 2000ad fans who skipped it because of that, despite what I told them

$15 million is a huge chunk of cash. Studios don't invest $50 million in a movie for it to not even break even. Especially considering that's what they made internationally. I seriously doubt Liongate was cool and non chalant about having to try and break even when the DVD came out.

Again. 15 million is nothing to lionsgate. Search for #MAKEADREDDSEQUEL and read that. Fans made Dredd the number one movie in Netflix and Amazon. They have had actors from the movie officially endorse them. That is why lionsgate don't mind losing 15 million.

$15 million is nothing to lionsgate? You don't think that's underselling it at all?

The more I watch, more I like. It's got a great slapstick vibe to it and just got better. I love JR and Rollo. I've really come to like the side shows way more than Family Guy.

I think it'll be fantastic. They should have far more freedom than they do with a network show.

Awesome trailer!! I think I will definitely going to watch it in theater. *facepalm* at those people who refuse to watch movie just because of PG13. Some people are incredible picky. I swear.

No I don't. It's certainly a loss for them but in context I don't think it's a huge loss. Anyway, we're derailing the thread a but here. I hope they make a sequel to Dredd. Best movie i saw that year by far.

Yep. Funny how awesome movies like Dredd struggle to get a sequel, but s*** like Twilight, scary movie or Paranormal activity breeze through 3 to 5 movies :smash:
