What can I say, I like my 1080/1440/4k games with nice IQ and AF. You own an Xbox One so you really wouldn't know much about that.
Wish I could afford a 4K TV.
Great news for MS. We'll see if this is just a temp spike or an actual trend that MS is starting to gain some momentum.

An anonymous retail source has told MCV that Xbox One hardware sales jumped 155 per cent week-on-week, presumably thanks to a combination of Microsoft’s recent price cut and the arrival of EA’s game.
PS4 sales were up too, however, jumping 80 per cent with help of a rival price cut of its own – but that wasn’t enough to stop Xbox One edging ever so slightly ahead in hardware sales for the week.
Ruh ro.
If true, we have confirmation why Sony showed some 'desperation,' I think that's what some said when MS dropped the Xbox One price in UK, by having a price drop in the UK last week. They probably wanted to keep the top spot at all costs.
Also weird that it outsold the discounted Destiny bundle.
If true, great news for MS.
Yea, two weeks. I guess Destiny didn't have the draw in the UK like it did elsewhere. First Watch Dogs was crowned as the largest selling new IP and now two weeks after release Fifa bundle outsells the Destiny bundle. Good news all around. It's also weird that the Xbox One outsold the PlayStation 4 Fifa 14 bundle even with it's price slash.Weird? Fifa is huge over there and the Destiny bundle has been out for weeks.

I thought that the exclusive advertising deal that Sony had, which made it look like it was exclusive, would continue trucking on all month long. I guess I was being too optimistic. I had a bad feeling about MS selling next to nothing in the UK this month. I guess I was being overly pessimistic.Everyone knew the X1 was going to have a fifa bundle, the thing with Sony seemed to happen last minute. As far as the Destiny bundle it's not going to continue to sell at the rate it did it's first week in it's 3rd. BTW the Destiny bundle gave the PS4 a 300% increase in console sales and it's best week of sales in the UK all year, doesn't sound like this price drop/free game had quite the same effect for the X1. You really seem to have had some unrealistic expectations of what Destiny was supposed to do for PS4, I don't know if it's just your bias (we all have one so don't pretend you don't) or if you thought a non exclusive game was going to have the same impact as an exclusive but either way you seem way off on that.

As far as the price slash goes, Sony probably realized they were going to lose the week and took measures to try and save the following week. We'll see if it pans out for them. Is there an NPD equivalent in the UK?
Sony would be smart to match any aggressive pricing moves MS makes in the UK, it was a region Xbox 360 beat the PS3 in last gen so I'm sure they want to try their best to keep that from happening again. BTW Fifa sold best on PS4 in it's opening week, I know some will say "yeah because it's got a larger installed base than Xbox One" but it also sold better than the 360 version.

But does that count the bundles in those numbers?
No clue, probably not but the PS4 version sold about 10% more than the Xbox One version.
That was to be expected, but most likely those bundles either put it really close or over those sales.
"Xbox outsold PS4 for one week in the UK after multiple price drops, giving away FIFA for free in bundles, and exclusive FIFA content. In a market where the 360 dominated the PS3 last gen."
And Xbox was the fastest selling console in November 2013 in the US.
