Its evident you don't have a answer.
let me add some more...who sold more in NA by years end?
How many units did Sony ship to each country?
I guess it's true...

ignorance IS bliss...

third parties have even less of a reason to pull support now for either x1 or ps4 due to the similar architectures...

if anything it will boil down to who has the most money to buy the exclusive rights or early release rights to new games and IP going forward...

how TF has unfolded over the past several months into an exclusive for X1 is a prime indicator of things to come...

i expect a LOT of whining on one side about how the other side is buying up all the exclusives this generation...
I doubt it. MS has had the deepest pockets since day 1. It got them exclusives, but not all the exclusives. After all, it's a console business and spending money to make money only makes sense if you can make it back and then some.
If all it took to win a generation (profitably) was exclusives, Nintendo could spend a bit to buy them all up.
But buying exclusives is a bit of a gamble for a company trying to turn a profit. You have to:
A.) agree on a reasonable price (that's why big popular franchises like COD or Madden are never exclusive; the money made on each platform is so high buying it would be ridiculously expensive)
B.) hope the game is good and the audience actually likes it
C.) choose a promising and affordable title that's actually going to make enough impact in your sales to recoup the costs (Lair, Haze, Brute Force etc.)

After all that, at least in Microsoft's case, you still have to contend with a really high calibre of game from the competition's internal teams.

So, nah. Exclusives aren't goibg to big a big one-sided affair. MS actually wants to make a profit and Sony can't afford to buy them up and already has strong internal and exclusives.

ok - I'd agree in general.. (especially given past history on games youve noted) But depending on the game/hype... I still maintain that there will be at least more instances of this happening with this generation than in the past...

So do I. I think Microsoft is going to make a statement with their exclusives this gen. This doesnt include everything they have in the pipeline for the Xbox One on general. There just too much potential since adding in Kinect and other features.

I got a feeling that kinect centric games will rely heavily on Kinect Sports Rivals performance.

We had a proper discussion, whether we agree with each other opinions, we manage to keep it civil, but you have come out to make a personal attack.

How is it a personal attack? I didn't call you an idiot. I said that line of thinking was idiotic and explained in detail why.

MS will surely buy up some more exclusives. If they choose wisely, it should help them. I don't think anyone can deny that. Whether you like their exclusives or not, and prefer them to Sony's, that's another thing.

and he can't add... he said within a million.... 4.2 is only a million greater then 3 million lol.

I can't? Microsoft said they sold OVER 3 million. So I could have said within 500,000 units and it COULD be right.

Its not going to make a difference when you have a $500 weaker console that churns out worse versions of the best games(3rd party)
You really take the whole "weaker" thing to the next level dont you? Its weaker because we know the specs. The actual differences in graphics arent as noticeable to the average consumer however.

Truth of it, whats it matter if the Xbox upscales to 1080p or if its native anyhow? Isnt that being nitpicky, all thing considered?

If 1080p wasn't noticeable to the average consumer, they wouldn't be releasing 1080p games for the PS4, and if the Xbox One was not so much significantly weaker, it would not be putting up with 720p ports for Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed.

Again what I said isn't wrong. However what you said is. Microsoft isn't at an even 3 million like your failed joke attempt suggests.

if it was 3.1,3.2,3.3 etc they would have said it.
Keep trying/lying though
Can you take this over to the sales comparison thread please. X1 thread it has NOTHING TO DO WITH SONY!
X1 fans not Sony fans. Really I'm not trying to be rude but damn.

Cheques will be cut for sure. I just don't see any reason why it would be any different to previous generations.
I mean, "a LOT" of complaints over the other console getting a disproportionate number of exclusives? Why would either console get this huge payload this gen and not previous gems?
Why would people complain? The majority of console owners get their consoles after the library looks good. Early adopters might complain, but I'd say a lot of early adopters have or will have both consoles anyway.

Truth of it

1920x1080P 3000 lines w/ OVER double the pixels of 1280x720p 2000 lines w/ less then half of the pixels of 1080p.
X1 720p to 1080p games are looking worse then native 720p with bad sharpening affects etc.
Now consider the truths.

(i will be nice and not nit pick by bringing performance differences in the mix)

The difference is barely noticeable. Almost non existent sitting on the couch.
