When we break down to AAA games. Data are hard to get, so far I only manage to find a breakdown from Witcher 3

Another chart of the world's biggest game market, China.

Wow Playstation gamers are consistently buying more than double (even triple in 2016) the amount of software than Xbox over last 5 years or so at least in the Witcher's 3 case. PC is also on the rise. Seems like PC/PS4 was definitely becoming the norm for last gen. I foresee similar trend this gen as well.

There is a reason a lot of Japanese studios who do not normally develop for PC is starting to do so now.

Looks like MS and Sony had their best quarters ever. Has to be Covid.

I think other than the obvious, that this year next gen launch, I think alot of people that travel alot have saving from well not traveling. I spent usually 2-3K on holidays a year.

I think alot of people want to end the year on a high which most agree is Sht due to Corona.

This year I decide to upgarde my long overdue phone & internet. Hopefully I can get a new PC rig by feb for outriders. My rig meet the spec for cyberpunk, so I am okay.

Little surprised at the Series S numbers. Reckon that was from shops selling it as a 4K player

Even though Sony says "our" it actually means Ps5 was the biggest console launch ever since previously the PS4 held that record. With the PS5 surpassing that, a new record has been made. Makes sense now why MS came out with the article earlier saying they started making their consoles bit later than Sony implying that their sales may be behind Sony. Some early damage control from them.

I doubt it’s damage control. MS doesn’t give numbers. I am guessing Sony is lying.

MS hasn't given numbers in a while since they've realized they were trailing in sales last gen. Very coincidental that the article talking about delayed Xbox Series manufacturing came out just a couple days before PS announced this. Let's see if MS will also issue a statement regarding sales soon.

MS won’t announce sales. It’s a company policy. So they were not doing damage control. It’s a fact that they were waiting for full RDNA 2. They didn’t want RDNA 1.5.

Whether they announce sales or not is one thing but you can bet that they do care about the sales numbers. Just seems so coincidental that they mention delaying manufacturing so close to Sony announcing their biggest console launch ever.

Maybe they should of went with RDNA 2.5 like the PS5 and then they would have the better versions of 3rd party games 😎
